Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

wow rare monitor!

Yeah, I got mine from Japan but there seems to be a few more popping up on ebay in the past couple months here in the states.

Hot damn! That's incredible. That's a 3840x2400 monitor. What refresh rate is it running at, and with what cables did you connect it to a computer?

Also, are those Logitech G9x and Anywhere MX mouses? What headphones?

Let me say it again: that's a really hot setup! How do your eyes fare looking at such a hi-dpi screen after some time?

It's running at 48hz with two dual link DVI cables connected to monoprice DP to DVI adapters. The monitor itself has two LF60 inputs but it came with DVI adapters.

It's actually just an old G9 (not x) but without the grip and anywhere mouse for work laptop. The guys below are right about the headphones.

As far as the DPI most times I have things sized so they appear "normal" just in high resolution so no jaggies.

It looks like a g9x without either of the grips on it. I use mine like that as well sometimes.

Yup, I like using my small laptop mouse but wanted something wired and with better DPI.

seen that monitor and its previous revisons a few times, brilliant screens great build quality

shame i cant have one tho

It's pretty cool, hopefully with the new ipad and other high resolution tablets high DPI displays will become more common.

The T221 is a ridiculously awesome monitor, but I don't see what kind of purpose it would serve in a home setup. 22" with that high of a resolution seems pointless. And it's definitely ill-suited for gaming since the maximum refresh rate is 41Hz.

It's not suited for online FPS games but I've played a lot of borderlands on it and it's pretty fun, 48 hz is decent enough to enjoy the resolution. It's also handy for large excel files makes ready text pretty pleasant.

It looks like there is a pair BD DT-770pros and pair of BD DT-880's buddy has the 770s and i have owned two different pairs of 880s (coiled cord and straight cord)

Yup, I prefer the 880s but sometimes don't want to disturb my gf or listen to the crappy tv she's watching so the 770s come in handy then.

I want that IBM monitor soooo bad. there is one on ebay for 700$. Im honestly temped. Does it look really crisp in real life? or does the age of it show?

That sounds like a good deal, it's quite a bit less than what I paid for mine, just be prepared to spend some effort getting everything working. I still run into issues with my eyefinity settings dropping or the DP-DVI adapter needing a reset.

Just got everything cleaned the tri-30" setup (eyefinity 7680 x 1600) so I thought I'd post. The setup to the left is my spare, so if one of my friends is over they can use that PC, just the one 30" though.

And just for kicks here is my TV / console setup with my buddy broing out.

Hi Guys,

Here's my setup. I had been waiting to get these arms for a while. They're damn expensive but finally got them and worth every penny! :)

I currently have a 22" wide and 17" normal aspect.

My next plan is to get as big a screen as the arms will take and use 22" as a secondary in portrait.

Ergotron say the max size is 24" for these arms. Has anybody tried bigger screens? I think i'll have a little extra room if I put the 22" in portrait mode. I'd love a 26/27" screen?

Would that be possible?

I have those arms and I am currently using 2x 27" LG's with it. It can barely rotate to vertical with it but it works, it's more limited by weight than anything, I had increase the force in the piston to keep the monitors at the height I want.

And going from cheaper monitor arms I do love these, such high quality, and I love how you can position the monitor and leave it and it just stays there not loosening and retightening.

-edit, nvm I have 2 separate arms, just see if you can move your current monitors apart by 8" or so if you can you can fit the 27".

LOL :p So when I have three buddies come over, we can't all fit in the Lamborghini, so I let one of them borrow the spare Ferrari :D

@Stormshade:

No harm intended, but you gotta be a fish to look at those screens!

Nice bunker NCX. Your all set for the upcoming big collapse, where America will be living like the movie the Road Warrior.

How is your Catleap treating you? I'm thinking about picking one up but unsure about the build quality.

Two weeks into ownership, and still satisfied. My old 5770 wasn't displaying the BIOS on it, but the new 7870 does.

One new issue since installing the 7870 two days ago. During startup, the screen lights up and boots as normal, but about 40 seconds into the boot after its on the desktop, it goes dark then comes right back - less than half a second. Maybe the Windows color calibration being applied? Never did it with the 5770, which is why I think its video card related. Anyway, keeping an eye on the behavior.

The Catleap came with a Welltronics power brick rated for US current, so I have no power brick issues. Wobbly stand is wobbly, but my ancient metal desk and ancient metal keyboard tray are such beasts that it is not an issue for me.

No apparent dead pixels for me (I only took a quick look, as if I can't see them, they're effectively not there) and the "crooked stand" is not in effect on mine. As of right now, I couldn't have gotten a more perfect monitor. Very happy. Unboxing/setup pics. Original Review

Looking to add another monitor . Can someone recommend a 1:1 height ratio in portrait mode to compliment the current 30" ?

Can you feel the heat from that TV? How do you like it for text reproduction? I'm sure gaming on it is a blast.

The text on it is pretty good as long as you have it set at the native resolution, there is some heat but not too bad.For the price it was a hell of a deal!
