After playing with my brother's for a while I pretty much agree with you.
Same here. I stopped by a Verizon store on my way home today just to check out the RAZR and Rezound.
Overall, they were both pretty decent phones, but I definitely preferred the feel/size of the Rezound in hand compared to the RAZR. The RAZR was just way to wide/tall to handle one-handed for me and even though it was amazingly thin, I don't find that particularly ergonomic by any means. It was pretty much like holding a mini-tab in my hands (my hands are damn small though). Also, even though the RAZR had the SAMOLED display, it looks pretty pixelated, just like the Droid 3 and Bionic's screen was. The 720p SLCD display on the Rezound definitely looked better, IMO. Also, both the front and rear camera on the Rezound was noticeably better in the store lighting and taking a picture of a pen he had on the desk. I was amazed at how clear and well lit I was when using the front camera, it almost looked as good as the rear, but I wouldn't really have any use for it since I'm never taking Myface pics of myself
Performance between them was about the same though. They were pretty smooth for the most part, but they both exhibited some of the infamous Android lag when transitioning between apps and scrolling around. not enough to detract from usage, but it was noticeable. BTW, both phones had just been freshly opened and booted for the first time too, so there wasn't anything extra running in the background and they were both in total stock configuration. The store rep brought them out from the back for me to try out since they didn't have a live display there. I played around with both of them for about 5-10 mins a piece.
I asked the rep that was helping me if he knew anything about the Nexus launch though and he knew as much as we do. He just said it heard it was due in "early December" and I told him I had read December 8th last. He was actually pretty knowledgeable about the phones though, which is a first that I've seen in a VZW store rep. The only thing he was wrong on was saying that the iPhone had a higher PPI display than the Rezound and when I told him to check again, he apologized, lol. I did it tactfully though so I didn't seem like a super nerd calling him out, heh. He had an iPhone 4, but he said he thinks he's going to get the Rezound for his upgrade next month. I'm not sure if that was a ploy for me to get the phone though. I told him "thanks, but I'll wait for the Nexus still, then decide". It was one of the better experiences I've had in the store though.
