So it says on the dl page it supports installation from USB drive...I wonder if the steps are the same as W7? I am banking on it because I don't have any dual layer dvds
what client are you using?
Anyone up and running yet? I need to put an old hdd in my system and try this out.
About to install the 64bit version on my CR-48.
why? lol. But you just gave me an idea... I'm gonna do the same. Shame it lacks the windows key, however
Well mine finished downloading. I'm just not sure its worth it. I really hate W7 mobile and it looks like W8 is pretty much W7 mobile for the desktop. What about drivers? Are Nvidia's drivers well supported in it?
Scroll Wheel? Up/Down or PgUp/PgDn on the keyboard? You're not forced to drag the scroll bar by any means. My main complaint with Metro Right now with Mouse/KB is when you run out of horizontal screen space (yes you can do that @ 2560x1600) you are pretty much forced to click and drag the scroll bar.
Also, I really miss being able to just press the Windows key and start searching for things.
A feature I like is that you can dock metro apps on the side of the screen with your classic desktop open, and it just shrinks the size of the desktop, it doesn't cover anything up. Very nice.
Search key is the Windows key.
Gah, really wish there was a way to disable Metro.

Also, you can still do windows key + type to search.
My download hung at 3.5gb of 3.6gb and I can't get it going again. Downloading again.
You shouldn't need to close apps - they get automatically suspended/closed as appropriate. So is it possible to ever close the Metro apps without using the task manager? I get that they go in a suspended state, and with 12gb of ram it doesn't really effect me, but why on earth can I not simply close a program? Also apparently it was their goal to make it really difficult to just shut down/reboot
