I have a 32GB in my cart on eCost still for $149.99, should I order it?
as an employee at best buy I have to admit that when we were given the OK to sell them, half the employees in the store left their departments, ran to to the back warehouse, and picked up at least 1. Some of us bought at least 2-3, and what was left was sent out on the sales floor. there wasn't much left after we all bought it all...
That's fucking terrible...

As a retail employee, I have no problem with what they did. You get paid crap to put up with nonsense from customers, so good for them that they were able to make a buck.
It's best buy.... thats like the only benefit of working there.
Yup, as terrible as it is, the same happened at other retailers that carried it.
I'd reconsider letting that process. The return policy is non-refundable and replacement only. The *most* you may get out of them is a store credit. Trust me, I've had run-ins with NewEgg over the slightest amounts and their customer service is horrible in that regards. They've gone from customer friendly to just greedy.
Plus, NewEgg ships with NO signature confirmation so you'll get the usual doorbell ditch without a chance to reject the shipment.
When I went to Best Buy last night, I got there 2nd behind some dude, then 4 more dudes came in and we waited around for word about the tablets. They said they only had one and gave it to the first guy and said they would take our names down and put some aside if they got in more tomorrow. I was fine with that but these other 4 guys were whining and crying like babies. I wanted to snap their necks and I'm sure the employees at Best Buy wanted to kill them as well.

Nice...got one that time.
Got mine at BB today around 1ish EST....In Central FL< seemed the store had a few more, all in back needed a manager to get one.....made a point of putting it in a bag so it wasnt too obvious what i had.....thought that was quite funny.

Yes, IIRC one was in my cart but then when I hit the cart button it said "sorry, it's no longer available". I doubt that putting an item in your cart saves it for you to buy at a later date. The only time that happens on the Internet is when you're buying concert tickets, filling out a FAFSA or other government document, etc.
Millenia, from how the manager talked they had a few in stock(32's, apparently 16's as well a friend picked up one 30 min before i got there)

Be warned, newegg return policy was already laid out in this thread: they do not take returns.
They have also said to me on the phone they will NOT price match even if the price lowers over night.
I, too, am taking a risk in hopes that they turn around and refund me the difference. If not, I'll simply refuse the package and be done with 'em.
