D2D 5 Year Anniversary Sale- $5 a Game (50 Games)

I see the old list is still up, but no S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC, wow, did it sell out...? wouldn't surprise me, great game and this could mean online death matches could be a total n00bfest the next few weeks (me included of course ;) )

You are right, stalker is not on there anymore. Perhaps there is a limit of copies available due to the total cd keys they have.

Stalker was replaced with Call of Juarez. And for some reason the list is still showing the games from last week. Same for anyone else?

EDIT: Doesn't look like week 3 is open yet.

UPDATE YOUR SITE YOU *********.. Sorry buyer anxiety

Haha, I know how you feel man, I'm totally waiting to see if there are any good RPG games that will keep me preoccupied.
If I don't find any good games this week on D2D, I've decided I'll take up on that new Babo: Invasion game on Steam; I got a guest pass from a friend and it was a lot of fun in my opinion.

Thief, Frontlines, and Saints Row have gone back to their original price... but are still listed under the games for $5... even though they aren't shown for $5....

It took a while to load, but here are this week's games

Neverwinter Nights 2
Assassin's Creed Director's Cut
Elven Legacy
Eve Online
Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
Titan Quest Bundle
PlanetSide®: Aftershock
Drakensang: The Dark Eye
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Do a barrel roll!!!

On-topic: I think I'm in for NWN2 and Drakensang.. heard good things about both.
That's what I grabbed too. I skipped the NWN2 expansion, because it's not supposed to be all that good.

What I really was hoping for was Mass Effect. Oh well.

i got drakensang and elven legacy (big paradox fan) but i mostly bought it to use up the credit on my silly rebate giftcard since these games come out to even amounts, no taxes and fees.

Woohoo!

I'm saving $50 this week!

(any of these worth it?)

I paid 50 dollars for NWN 2 from D2D when it came out...

I bought titan quest bundle. Best deal on the list imo. Possibly buying AoC after I try the trial.

3 MMOs listed. WTF?

Seriously, the previous two weeks had some great games but EVE online? I love that game when I played it but I doubt it belongs there. Conan maybe should be there.

I played NWN2 and it was great fun. I would buy it if I didn't have it already.

Maybe Mass Effect 2 will make an appearance under war games....? I can dream.

The list was for RPG's and MMO's. EVE Online was an easy one I suspect since it retails at 9.95 anyways.

Very funny since it isn't even released yet. I'd happily rebuy ME1 for the PC for $5 though. I was really disappointed it didn't show up. I want to buy NWN2 and the expansion, but keep getting a server error. I already have NWN2, but digital install so much easier to deal with and $5 is less than a cheeseburger.

That new McDonalds angus beef burger is only 3.99. Hard to argue that it is not a real burger. It does not contain hooves and testicles like their other sandwiches.

Man, wtf. No Mass Effect? I was totally hoping to get that game because I haven't played it yet...
In for Drakensang since I've heard so much praise about it.

What else is there worth getting? I played NWN2; it was fun but I got bored of it pretty quick.

Why isn't NWN2: MOTB on there?

I never did get around to picking up either expansion but you'd think they would include all of them rather then vanilla NWN and then skipping an expansion and going for the latest one...

Also from that list I'd HIGHLY recommend Drakensang if you haven't played it. It's a great underlooked rpg that just came out a while back, a great deal at 5 bucks.

I'm in for: NWN 2 (both), drakensang, titan quest pack, AoC (1 month; even if I play just a few hours I'm ok with it)

Anyone know anything about Elven Legacy? For $5 all I really want is to be introduced to different approaches to gameplay...

D2D isnt like steam at all. It is download and play. The game will be tied to your machine with securom.

I would bite if it was on steam but d2d I will pass.

Didnt know this. Pass as well. I dont want it tied to one PC. And I dont want securom. Screw them and their one PC limit. Steam for me.

Copy protection depends on the game. Not every game has Securom, and not every game with Securom has a limited number of activations. You can still download and install your games on multiple PCs.

Trying to buy AoC, but the transaction fails every time, says somethings wrong with their server... :(

You know you shouldnt make broad statements like that. Whether its intentional or not youre spreading ignorance. If youre gonna say stuff like this at least name a game that has it.

I just installed manhunt which is still $5.00 and theres no securom.

There is an online activation when you install... for most games that is it, unless otherwise noted.

I was about to make my order, but somehow I lost my cart and now NWN 2 is gone (only Storm of Zehir remains).

Did they run out of keys or what? Good lord...

Edit: and now I'm getting transaction errors with what's left... D'oh...
Edit2: This is possibly because MMO games require a non-free e-mail address, or so reads their FAQ. I'll have to contact customer support tomorrow... no biggie.

With titles being yanked close together even after some were out for a while and some for a day, I'd say someone figured out a way to get more than three.
