You are very insightful!

I was thinking WU's myself. :)

Hey Evil, how many of those three catagories do I fall in, especially now that you're about to overtake me (again)? :D

I have to say that the only reason that my farm expanded beyond the normal computers in my house, was the competition and friendship that exists here.

This team is great, the members are great!

Fold on, Fold [H]ard!

We salute YOU Mr. "Hey check out my PPD" guy

You are the driving force behind all us poor people. You belittle our PPD until it is absolutely necessary to whip out the credit card and make it go swipey swipey (high pitched butt rock voice: THESE SWIPERS CAN'T SWIPE MEEEEEE!")

Your undying love of kicking cancer in the box (trademark Crazy Larry), brings light to these very dark times.

Trade Mark [H]ardforum.com, subsidiary of Kyle Bennet's (spelling?) creativity, all requests to be filled out in Tripli-cat, sent to P.O. Box 60652, Take a bite out of crime!

Or something...

That about sums it up for me also. If it was not for the good nature of our team and the fun we have I probably would have considerably less debt. In the end though - the science is very much worth it and being a part of such a great team is a wonderful blessing to add to the fun.

Hey Sancho (err.. I mean Kendrak) I think you hit the old proverbial "nail on the head" with the " competition and friendship that exists here" statement because from what I've seen most teams (and our team in particular) are into friendly competion (Chimp Challenge) and, while the pernts are important, I think the friendly bantering between teams, the friendly bantering between team members are important and, the most important to me, is the the realisation that we're doin' the best we can (most not being medical proffessionals) with what we've got to combat some !@#$%^ diseases (once again PC :p). IMO that's what makes the [H]orde one of the best (if not the best) folding team out there. (neener, neener, we're also "numero uno":D )

It has always amazed me how people from different walks of life, different personnal backgrounds, different ethnic backgrounds, different political beliefs, etc could work together in a non threatening way (not killin' each other) for the common welfare of all humans (whether they're rich or poor, smart or not, good lookin' or as "ugly as sin", ahh.., bad breath may be an exception to the rule ) and not only that, but go out of there way to answer folding questions to thier "new to computers" or "old hat" teammates in a non demeaning way, which this team does without fail. I imagine they'd go out of thier way to answer folding questions for anyone regardless of team affiliation. ;)

Once again, thanks everybody for letting me fold for the [H]orde :p

Gots to get off of my "soap box" cause' it's starting to wobble

Thanks for foldin'

it's a good thing the moderation in the DC subforum is a little loose :p
otherwise we would see a lot of closed threads  :D
it's like a lite version of Gen May  ;)

Yeah, I agree... As long as we can tie a thread to folding or other DC stuff, we can put pretty anything there :D

Thanks for the great thread and thanks everyone for folding toward a cure ;)

And we should thank you for joining up and putting in one hell of an effort. It's people like you that help keep this team going. New people are always needed, if anything to keep some of us older fogies on our toes. Although it was a long time ago, I was new to this team at one point and I was welcomed with open arms. Luckily we have a "vicious cycle" here that is by no means vicious. The team keeps going and growing.

Remember, the more the merrier. More good looking women, more alcohol and more folders is always a good thing.

The DC subforum has always been like a "light" version of Genmay. At one time, it was the only Genmay. We do get away with a lot more here than any of the non-subscriber subforums and it's always been that way since the close of the original Genmay. The powers that be have said as long as we don't get too out of hand, it's all good. They have recognized that it's extremely healthy for the team and look the other way more often than not.

Thread: Have u seen the last episode of Days of Our Lives?!?
Answer: Yeah, it was soooo goood, Finally!! John realized that Marlena was the love of his life!!! OMG!!!.... oh yes...erg... and I could see there in the background that there was a PC that was running a F@H client, yeah didn't u notice? pfft, for real :p

Woah... If I had thin skin I would have my feelings hurt, but, like I've heard before, "that just ain't a' gonna' happen" concerning being pointed out as going off the thread topic. (the least thing on my mind, I thought my whole post had a big percentage about folding and was on topic ;)) With all this "thread moderation thing", thoughfully pointed out by Ms leSLIe, I'll do my darness (PC) to stay on topic because I sure as hell don't want to know about the "tear jerker" "Days of Our Lives" (to be honest sometimes it's difficult to figure out just what the thread topic is) :D)

The Gen May thing was before my time. I've only been a [H]orde member for like a little over a year. I'll willingly admit sometimes I do go off topic. I'm admittedly far from perfect and never claimed to be. :(

Seriously, till I started getting more involved with this group, I was out of debt. Now a days, all I keep doing is spending every spare ounce of change I get to keep upgrading my boxes so that I can contribute as much as I can to the scientific effort, not to mention the points game!

Debt is your friend and with this we can kick cancer in the box !! :D
