Need a 650i SLi mobo

Why 650i? Why not a motherboard based on the more stable P35 chipset?

You could go with the Asus P5N-D, it's an 750i (basically a 650i with some extras), it will run all the 45nm quads. I bought it off of newegg for around 139.00.

Since when exactly could you run SLI on a P35 board???

OP: I can totally understand why you'd want to get a 650i instead of a 7xx series given the price premium they seem to go for. God I remember when nvidia was first entering the chipset market and their boards were dirt cheap. Now they think they are all that and the cost is rediculous.

Anyway if you can't spring for a 750i or 780i and definitely want a 650i I would wholeheartedly recommend the MSI P6N SLI Platinum board. It served me wonderfully before I decided I didn't need SLI and moved onto a P35 based board. Just be aware that it like all other P35 boards is starting to age. You will be able to run most of the new dual core wolfdales (E8x00, etc) but the quad core 45nm chips will be a no-go. If you want quad core a Q6600 would match up with a 650i/680i board nicely.

looking for under $100 solution for 8x8x and under $150 for 16x/16x, don't care if it's new or used, must hit 450 fsb when it comes to oc, again any suggestions?

For the 650i (if your so hell bent on getting it) go for the MSI P6N SLI-FI or Platinum. I just OCed my processor today and its still working like a charm. Ive had this setup for almost a year now.

My Asus P5N-E SLI can do 475fsb pretty easily with active cooling on the northbridge. Been running my board at 463fsb for over a year now with no hiccups. Pretty damn solid if you ask me.

I ran my P5N-E SLI around 440 for awhile with no issues, no active cooling, bumped voltage to the second notch....prime stable but the heatsync did get pretty damn hot.
