Bought the wrong size case fan and I'm too lazy to return it so I wrapped aluminum foil around the only two screws I could get in. One of the screws is sticking out of the venting hole lol

you can see the size difference

Wow... Dez3rt.Eagle I did the EXACT same thing you did to your case... I have the same case and that same damn fan, lol. I'm guess you're stupid like me and forgot to measure the back to see if it was 80 or 90mm?

psu mod.

I got this for a few bucks and didnt want to dump any cash into it. I needed the 20 pin connector to be longer.

Not much else to show really...

hub wired

and the reservoir with pump submerged
*0.0*

I put the 6 machines in to start, with hopes of adding more later, but it never happened. The 2 on top stayed air cooled. The big issue was hard drive and board temps. Lack of airflow in that cabinet and the combined heat of everything was hard on old parts. The doors had to stay open and I had to run a fan in front to keep it happy. I'd recommend an open rack to anyone else, just be careful to insulate/isolate any metal.

I built 8 headless AMD crunchers out of leftovers, and bought the small obsolete drives and PCI vid cards from a surplus guy for about $20. I monitored everything from my desktop with TightVNC. The biggest kick in the junk was buying the water blocks and that big Eheim. That loop was almost 20' long (boards were plumbed in parallel using plumbers manifolds) and the Eheim worked flawlessly. Priming the loop was a challenge though.

I must ask... what was this for?

The library photocopier card hot air re-uptake inhibitor!!!

Okay, it's just old library photocopy cards electrical taped together so that hot air venting out the top of the x1950 don't recirculate down into the fan below, but into the system toward the exhaust fan.

I call it the "desk extension" mod

didnt have enough room on my desk for both speakers with the 22"s, and I didn't want to drill into the brick so I made a shelf for one of the speakers.
It was a bit annoying to look at at first but it serves its purpose :)

I think you could use some more desktop icons ;)

I hate to see them on my desktop too, but it forces me to take care of them as opposed to letting the poor guys rot away in a folder called "downloads" or "misc crap." :D

i cant stand the way windows organizes icons, theres a program called deskview that lines them up a lot more effciently.

It works in Vista. Maybe not quite as well as XP, but there's no reason an icon's txt should get cut off...and this fixes THAT!

THANKS!!!!!! :D:D:D
