Gaming mATX board FINALLY!

So this thing is not in stock _anywhere_ in U.S. currently? :(

Please post if you find any sources for U.S. customers (who cares about elsewhere... joking.... I'm only joking...)

Fry's has stacks of them.

'Course, once Steve tracks down more stock, he has them for eight bucks cheaper, and probably won't charge you tax....

Thxs to W!ldGunM@n a modded bios is available!
lots of hidden options unlocked!
At my demand, he post the screens of his work:
PCI-E freq

More DDR:FSB ratio

NB 1.8 voltage

He managed to reach FSB@370...

I think it is unlocked only for core extreme!
Will mount tomorrow an x6800 and will post bios screen of ratio if available...

This is very , very nice

Thanks PV!!!

IS this flashed a regular way like an ABIT bios flash?

Believe it or not I have to start charging sales tax for those living in California when the product ships from California.

Some states don't do this but if you are a business in VA and you sell to a customer in CA and the business that is in VA gets a distributor to drop ship to CA then if that distributor has a location in CA then I have to pay sales tax.

Its a pretty big BS deal which kills the purpose of drop shipping altogether.

The theory makes no sense and hurts internet businesses. The distributor is the one that changes the reseller sales tax. Grrr

So for those purchasing some items from my store and you live in CA..you might get a sales tax charge.

Was tired getting no answer so I called Abit in US.

For all Canadians like me Canada will get the board with next shipment in 2 weeks. USA got a few and are already sold-out.

Well, I have no other choice than keep reading here and there about it un til I get my own.

Frys got the most. D&H got a few and I sold all of them :)

my ASI guy actually is trying to secure some in the near future so hopefully those will come in soon.

Hi Steeeve,
When will this new policy take effect?

PS: I ordered the Abit Mobo from you yesterday and it will be arriving today at my house in San Francisco. That was fast! (It shipped from Fresno, CA to San Fran). Thanks!

Has anyone with this board tried shooting right up to 400fsb? Could it be that the board has fsb holes, and people are reaching them and giving up without getting over them?

pvhk who is W!ldGunM@n and which Award bios editor is he using? I have been trying to find a current one for ages... Nearly every board manufacturer uses Award bioses. That might have saved me from ditching the Gigacrap S2...

I asked him which modbin revision he used!
Will give you the answer ASAP! ;)

Does anyone know how well the onboard sound is for this motherboard yet? Just wanted to know if its worth upgrading right away.

Was thinking about getting a Razer Barracuda AC-1 if its complete junk.

No you are ok. That is a different distributor

can you guys confirm Quad compatibility?

The Specs on the Abit website say it will do Quadcore, but their CPU Support page doesn't list it under 775 socket and Quad support.

This board is looking better and better. I just wish it had 2 PCI slots usable when a Dual Slot card was used.

wait, so if you have an 8800gts on this board, you won;t have access to the standard pci slot for, say, a sound card or something??? i saw the screenshot on page 1, and it looks like it could fit. i are confused!!!

no the PCI slot is ok, I just wish it had two on like my abit am2 micro atx board

Need advice

Now that I mostly have decided on all parts for my new rig, I have a question about the CPU heatsink. I should get an E4300 and would like to know if the included heatsink can do the job. I KNOW it is not like a crazy HS with heatpipe and 120mm fan but can I start with it or I should buy one right from start? I plan to make the E4300 run at 3GHz.

i want this board :( no Frys near me... and steve was only shipping to west coast :(

ive got a lot of the parts already :(

Well what case are you getting. I would probally recommend the Zalman 7700 for a mild O/C and still staying silent.

What chassi are you going to use ? to ST Sugo, remember that the height of the cooler can not exceed 78mm (bad english) I use Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu, but I would choose alcu because of the weight, the differens in cooling between them is not much I think...

I'll get Tt LANbox. If the original heatsink is ok then fine I will give it a go.

i'm not sure about the e4300 but i've run my core2duo at 3+ghz with stock heatsink. most of the time if you dont up the volts too high you wont overheat much anyways, but you do get higher temps if you volt high which equals less life for the cpu or whatever. i dont know how high you can oc with stock volts on an e4300 so i dunno. usually i reccomend a better northbridge heatsink or active cooling on it, but the one on the abit looks pretty hefty. i might put my zalman on it if it seems like it's gettin too hot.

does anyone know if Corsair Dominator memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145168 will fit with the Zalman CNPS7700-Cu on this motherboard?

Can anyone confirm that has the motherboard on quad core support. Want to buy a Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 Processor and need to know if its supported first.

Umm. R u kidding?!??!?! lol

So far so good. You really need to go through the pages and see urself. Go back like 1-2 pages minimum.
I believe 370 was achieved by one.

yes that's good, but with chris.darks modded bios, Personally I had hoped that Abit had made a Bios update to "fix" those hidden features.

Go back 1-2 page, it was said that everyone should write to Abit about the fact WE want those features to bo shown and that they don't forget it's a Fatal1ty branded mobo so that's why we expect to see a few more options.

The bios would not have anything to do with the 370, but that may be the board's cap.

yeah I saw that :) What I meant was that it would just feel more serious/reliable if Abit made their own improvements/fix to unlock those features(poor english) not a modded one. But hopefully it will come, considering the inteview @ sffclub with a Abit-representive (http://www.sffclub.com/index.php?op...w&id=167&Itemid=99999999&limit=1&limitstart=8), and the fact that the bios is an "evaluation-bios" right ?

yes.. but a 370 is still good, right, my E4300 only reached 385 FSB on a Asus P5B Deluxe, so for me its ok.

Branch In Stock Order Qty * Ship Days ETA.

Chicago 0 03/12/07
Dallas 0 N/A
Florida 0 N/A
Harrisburg 0 03/08/07

This looks odd but its from my distributors website and shows the ETA of these boards. They change all the time though.

I assume the 370 was achieved with air cooling? It'd be helpful if folks list all their componets they are using to achieve their OC results. Alot of people are going to be watching the incoming results and will want to know.
