Post your "rate my cables" here

Imagine a case where every cable was loose, and no management had been done.

That was my computer. But now, after an hour of cable sorting (Just masking tape and no unplugging of wires) it's much cleaner. How did I do?

Sorry for the crappy quality.

EDIT: Upon looking at this- This is still pretty messy, but I had an old pc with nothing to do.

Here is mine at this point, wait to swap out S-ATA cables and IDE cables with the same colours.

95% finished... need to clean up the blue-white cable at bottom, figure out how to hide the power cable to the optical drives.

so much thermaltake stuff in one spot i vomited ewww i gave up on them when my toughpower 450 was causing instablity.

Hey dudeyourlame(lol), did you buy that zalman cpu cooler without the LED fan or did you replace it with a black one? If so with what fan and how? lol. I'm trying not to get any LED fans in my system because of my other lighting solution, but I like how the 9700 is designed. Thanks.

Ok well I figured I'd post my current setup in here since I wont have it too much longer. I'm in the process of building a new system around just the core components(mobo, ram, cpu, and vid card). Its all going into the case in the last couple pics and the old stuff will be going back into the case in the first pic. I did a final clean up today for the pics since I wanted to finalize it anyway. Maybe eventually I'll cut into the case to route the psu cables behind the mobo tray but I think it looks pretty good, and I like the look of the psu cables anyway. Especially coming from this:

Yeah it was a mess. Thats why I opted to get a new psu and case to help tame all that and get a new start in this:

What do you think? =) I love the improvement it made lol. Like I said, maybe eventually I'll cut into the mobo tray to help route some more, but I think it looks really good as it is right now.

Nice work Pawan... Wire sleeving is a lost art these days. Plus the P180 is a hard case to wire cleanly.

Very nice Pawan, that's the best wired P180 I've seen, that things a bear to wire nicely.

Here's my air cooled rig. First picture is with my XFX 6500 Passive Videocard

Second pic is with EVGA 7800 GTX

That's pretty bad-ass dedwards. What are the 3 blue 80mm fans at the bottom of your case doing? Blowing upwards I guess?

Here's what might be the final iteration of my wiring job on my Antec P180 after today's work. I'd like to stuff the 24 pin MB cable behind the MB tray, but not enough room. Maybe when the P182 comes out with more room behind the tray I'll upgrade. But for now, this looks like it is it. Dont laugh too hard, lol.

aside from the 4 connectors/holders for that fan in the front... the wm looks amazing! Excellent Job on it!

I know what you mean about the motherboard connector and hiding those wires - it's about the hardest wiring to make disappear, but you did a great job of organizing and making it all tidy looking.

Thanks! I think those rubber fan "screws" holding the front fan will be replaced with real ones soon. The more I look at the photo the more out of place they look. It was an old idea I had on more fans, but with no real seen benefits, still have to remove those.

Did another pass:

Reversed the HD. Cleaned up the power cables up top to completely unblock the exhaust.

Panel off:

Note the EL tape. Need to do something with the SATA cable.

Thank you!
The whole case is a hockey theme, but seeing as this is the cabling thread, and not the mod thread... I only posted the cable specific pics. Good catch!
;)
