I used to bounce around on hardware vendors to test the waters, I had a few decent RMA experiences, and a few terrible ones, and two outstanding ones. One being Amazon (Kindle) and the other being EVGA, since then I've bought nothing but EVGA mobos/vid cards, and I haven't had a complaint since.
Don't listen to OP, this game is fan-frickin-tastic on PC. I'm running an i7 920 OCed to 3.6GHz, 6GB 1600Mhz ram and an EVGA GTX 570, on Ultra settings, no mouse lag, and the game is breathtaking. My neighbor is playing it on XB360 and while the game looks nice, the detail just isn't the same...
This was my thought too, a friend of mine was having similar issues and he was on Win 7 64 bit but running 32bit java, he upgraded and the game started running smoothly.
I've already got over 70 hours on this game, can't get enough. It's a lot more polished than oblivion and crashes once every 2-3 hours instead of Oblivions once every 30 minutes.
