Anyone else seen this, or have any ideas?
Q6600 @ 3.2
Windows 2003 R2 x64 server
8800GT / 256MB with everything at stock except shaders at 1900
FAHMon PPD 3278
Right now I'm not running any other clients. I was about to install VMWare to get a couple of linux vms running, but I'm a bit concerned that everyone is seeing higher numbers for this card.
Is it a server 2003 thing? I'm using the 175.16 drivers.
I did have a win smp client running, but it just seems to run real slow. Like it really didn't like the GPU client taking one whole cpu. I set the GPU client to lock to a single core, and to run at a slightly higher priority. It's like it the SMP client just sits waiting to eventually get scheduled on this CPU. That's why I want to move to VMWare, just so I can set affinities without having to re do it every time the client loads a new WU.
Anyone have any thoughts on something I'm missing, or does it just sound like a server 2003R2 scheduling thing?
