I'm not sure, you'd be best asking someone else probably... but I think you could probably take the shortcut definition from the Hordestats 3.0 setup, and just replace the url and img tags with those from the hardfolding site. I think all the button actually is just the java script to interface with the post editor.

With the xENo version that you are using....bookmark it or drag it to the toolbar in firefox.
It will work as you are talking about....it will add a space and submit all in one click! ;)

The 2 are written differently, xENo's is PHP ...I believe.

I'm probably seeing things. After having been in here since 4am Friday I don't think I am making much sense to myself. :D

testing.... I hope I figgured this out...

Hard Stats

dunno about the "toolbar method" but I built a bookmark that has the URL of the URL and IMG tags for the stats.

Wish I got the tool bar method.

how did you know I was on firefox..... psycho...errr psychic?

Just turn on your bookmark toolbar and add your link to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder, and then its there right at your fingertips. :)

there... fixed the insertion of the name of the bookmark

but it does not insert the carrage return prior too inserting the link

If you click that button at the very end of your sentence, it drops down one line and submits it...if you hit hte carrage return once before cliking the button you will get the extra space I think you are after. It only adds one return.

you can add an extra "\n" to the end of the string and it'll automatically add the space.

yeah the extra carriage return is popular, it seems... you can also put other text in there (as long as you do it right and follow syntax) so you could get a catchphrase or something in there if you wanted.

People keep talking about "clicking a button".... what button?

I made the bookmark on my bookmark toolbar as suggested. Then I have to insert the carrage return, and drag the bookmark to the text box that you type the text into. and then submit reply.

oh and I'm completly mystified by the "\n" as that just seems to add \n before or after the [H]ardstat badge so I'm probably putting it in the wrong spot.

BTW my bookmark has no name, no keyword and no description it is only the URL and IMG tags. Am supposed to link to a page that copies the data back or something?

Oh and I HATE TIMELESS TINKERS.... my Big Boy pulled another one...... 12 frigging hours for 37 points.... what a waste.

Let me see...Im guessing that you use Explorer. Gonna try it out in Explorer myself here.

I got it to work in IE
Here is the code you need
javascript:document.vbform.message.value=document.vbform.message.value + '\n \n'; document.vbform.submit(); halt;
So now in your favorites right click on your bookmark and go to properties and in the url box enter in all of this code. You can make your own icon for this bookmark.

mayhem: edit that code to get the image out of there. or, use this (remove spaces in the [img ] and [url ] tags):
Code:
javascript:document.vbform.message.value=document.vbform.message.value + '\n \n[URL =http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?u=126242][IMG ]http://www.mentallyretired.com/h3/index.cfm/u_126242[/IMG][/URL]'; document.vbform.submit(); halt;

Firefox......

I would never ever ever ever use the spyware magnet

INTERNET EXPLODER

never...

mutters foul things about monky$oft and their proprietary little world where they actually support HTML 4.0 and HTTP 1.4..... cause it certainly isn't this one. Well IE may but their content creation LIES and says it does.... funny how the pages only load on monkey$oft products.

but F! Yea...... made the Firefox shortcut just as you typed it out, substituting the URL and IMG tags where the picture was and it works.

Mayhem and rogue_jedi thanks.

Thanks for the heads up! Im not a coder, I simply copied my own and edited for jfb9301.
I was wanting all the code in place so it could just be copied.
Thanks though!

Glad to hear it! :D
Now you are all up to snufff....get out there and borg those boxen!

Thanks again,

I'm wondering if the tidbit about that is hidden in some obscure FAQ somewhere. Maybe someone should make it less obscure, cause I kinda think more people would want do it to pimp what we are doing on the rest of the message boards.

ponders I'm betting it works on other message boards... hmmm meby I should cruise over to OA and try.... heh heh heh

xENo has some pretty clear cut instructions in the Hordestats 3.0 thread. You just need to know your Extreme OC id # and it will create the button for you. :D

Sure, I am...care to help!? :D

I would if I could, but I subscribe to the cut and paste method of addin the [H]'s!

But the button is sooo easy to use.You gotta try it!

I did at one point, I could never get it to work right with my firefox setup. I'm assuming one of my too many extensions is blowing it up. So cutting and pasting works for me. :)

And as the topic veers horribly off course! :D

Come on luke....feel the force! :p Come over to the non cut and paste side! :D

Thanks xENo!!!!
Eh, maybe when it's my non-lazy time, right now its rest and relaxation!

if you want that to not be a link (the thanks xENo part) then you can put it outside of the url tag. you can even put another linebreak in front of it. if you want me to fix it to be like that for you, post what you've got so far (changing links is time consuming) with some handy-dandy linebreaks in it, and i'll change it to fit. hopefully:p

LMAO @ Mayhem

p[H]antom.... come... feel the power of the dark side....

besides I got it working in firefox.
