heh... my P3 700 is stuck working on a 241 point Tinker core.......till early thursday morning.
tho my 3.9 usually turns in near a hundred points a day.
I haven't done any distributed computing since RC5-64.... used to crunch keys for the [H].... but ended up on 2CPU for other reasons.

One of my PIII 450's is stuck on a timeless tinker....should be done end of the month 
I have 6 threads that will deliver in the next 24 hours, so I'll be at 3K.
Definitely gunning to get up with some more active competition. Not that there isn't competition where I'm at in the low 2000s..... hats off to neojohn, Josh Clarke.... I'm coming for you next.

I learned real quick to not worry about catching people, you get the bug like the majority of us, and it just happens over time.... Me i build cabinets and stuff like that....no access to a lot of boxen....so for a beat on it till it works geek...I think I do OK.
On the other side of that coin I dont have to work on all the stuff and see the wasted cycles going on! Im not dumb(dum) either...so I really do know!
Scary thing is at my work the IT pep are not so good! I watched one try to fix my work box and after a while I asked if the mouse was plugged in.....after the indignant ...yes ....and his utter frustration I plugged it in for him!
99% of the time its the stupid stuff that gets overlooked. You know....I swear i checked that!

It does, the worst is meeting the people that use these machines. My main focus is help desk, and software support and I am constantly getting emails from certified engineers that say "I have problem with word" and my favorite, I quote "i am getting inappropriate massages (messages)" It just seems like more of a waste when you're watching some of these people behind the keyboard because all they do is surf and email.Mayhem33 said:I feel your pain......man thats gotta suck!

I thought that was just the higher ups that getto do that..
..at my work they are very reluctant to give anyone internet access!Although it is a valuable tool that is getting to be a neccesity anymore!

I've mystified IT staff by actually knowing what the problem was... especially when they needed 2 hours to find it. and the customer was actually correct for a change. Thats the bad thing about my office, all the people that I'd trust to make their own diagnosis leave for the private sector real fast. I'm not sure if your office is anything like mine, but we have 4 or 5 different IT agencies up the chain. So if something breaks (the firewall) we have no chance of finding out who closed it up. It's not uncommon for my work boxen to go a day without getting out, then all of the sudden it will just pick back up. Thankfully they haven't instituted any logging for that. We just have the normal users locked down so tight they have to ask for permission just to get Media Player. In all honesty, I know that our users don't like us, in closed doors I'm referred to as "The Mean One."

Well with xENo's setup, there is a link you can add to your toolbar that will add a blank line and the points. I just use whats provided on hardfolding.com and have a text document that I copy and paste from.jfb9301 said:
