XIII

so is this what mulder was up to during season 7/8?
i was excited when he was mentioned, big fan, but from the video it sounds like he's just phoning it in. is it better in the actual game?

So what is the appeal of this game? Not a huge fan of the comic look but I suppose that is fine. Animations and AI look a bit bad though. Do the missions have many angles of approach and ways to do things? Seems to be hinting at that in the trailer.

It's mostly linear with a little bit of flexibility. Fairly difficult, and fairly realistic- no DoomGuy. Also a pretty old game (2003).

Can't / Won't happen because no one knows who has the rights to it, not even the devs who made the game. Though if anyone tries to remake or remaster it they can expect legal pressure coming their way. Google should turn up articles (like this one) if you want to read up more on it.

Getting actual legal pressure would be the right way to go, because then you know who to negotiate with. Being totally in the dark does no one any good.

You're going to be hit by lawsuits from 5 different companies, not just one. And all 5 will be claiming the same ownership rights. And if any of them try to go ahead with a remake/remaster they will will end up in court fighting each other. Possibly for years with pointless appeals and no viable outcome.

It's done, stick a fork in it. Best way forward for fans of that franchise is to fund a kickstarter for a "spiritual successor" as soon as a competent developer is willing to make it.
