So call me a noob but I just realize Xigamtek makes PSUs.

I'm wondering why we don't talk much about them?

XIGMATEK MC NRP-MC651 650W

I recently bought a Corsair 620HX however this Xigmatek seems so much better especially with lifetime warranty.

I hear Corsair, Antec, and others being recommend all the time. Where is the love for Xigmatek PSUs?

They are a bit hit and miss. [H] has reviewed a few. Check the reviews out and you'll see why they aren't widely recommended. Also, lifetime warranty for a PSU is pretty pointless... Corsairs come with a 5 year, and while they won't have died by the end of warranty (likely), they will have derated during use a good bit, so it'll be time for a new one anyway.

All of Xigmatek's PSUs are rebadged CWTs. However, the higher-wattage models tend to use cheaper components which hurts their performance. Their lower-wattage models are pretty good though. That 650W fits pretty much in between, so it's probably a pretty decent unit. The Corsair HX620 is definitely better though.

I had the same reaction as the subject line when I discovered that Xigmatek is one of the only lower end modular PSU resellers to include a set of 2 6p/8p PCIe connectors. The 'egg has a rebate on this that lowers it to $89AR. Pretty good deal if all the positive reviews I've been reading are accurate.

There are real good reasons why the "Trusted Brand" lower-end PSU's don't have cables for 200W+ GPU's. Putting those cables on, when the PSU doesn't have enough +12V amperage to power the high-end GPU's is pure marketing BS & anyone who falls for it is a fool!

They make great sources of PCIe connectors after the PSU itself goes up in flames, though.

:p

A 650W CWT PSU is more than capable of providing enough power for the majority of multi-GPU systems.
