Quick question...I got the card today and installed it. GPU Z says the idle temp is 37c, but in your review here, yall had an idle temp of 30, 31c. Is something wrong with my video card? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Hello, this temperature is very low and well within range. Ambient temperature, location in the case, airflow, and many other factors can cause the temperature to vary 10-15'C at ldle.

How are you full load temperatures? have you tried the furmark 15 min burn in test?
 
It's a non-issue, if that's what you're asking.
If the temps (and noise) are acceptable under load, then don't worry about it.

It could easily be a difference in ambient between you and HardOCP, did their article specify ambient temperature?
Could also be airflow. Does HardOCP use an open test system? Your tiny case looks like it has poor airflow.

If you genuinely want better temps and lower noise, then pop off the heatsink and re-paste it.

i havent even ran a game yet and i have no idea what Furmark is aside from seeing benchmarks on video card reviews...LOL...i'm a noob at this stuff(although I did upgrade from an XFX HD 7870 DD Ghz)

i mean, its fine to me...i dont feel any heat that concerns me...i havent ran a game yet...im about to run Watch Dogs for 15 minutes and see what the temps read after that...I know my case is small(HP H9 Phoenix), so I'm sure that plays a factor.

after 25 minutes with Watch Dogs, ultra settings:

If you are seeing 66C after gaming, you are fine.

Until I watercooled my 290X cards, I'd hit 90C all the time.....of course the cards were/are overclocked.

Your card is fine.:D

That said....GPU-z is not real time. It sees the temperature you ask it for after you have gone out of the game and the demand is gone.....see your clocks reading idle speed.....

If you want real time, download and run Afterburner, it will record in real time for you.:D

ok. i'll have to check that out...this is how i did it...i paused the game, switched to my desktop and snapped the pic...it was 69c with a fan speed of 70 right before I snapped the pic
 
Afterburner is a good program to use, you can also scale your fan speed % to run based on your GPU temp. 66C is a very acceptable temp considering you are running ultra and a 60% fan speed for an extended period.
