Whoever thought, that it's great idea that there is no retention mechanism on cables on XFX XTR PSU should till the end of his days drink only warm vodka. Just slight moving of case makes the cables fall.

Had PC reseting very often, opened the case, and noticed some cables barely holding, because cat jumped on PC and moved it a bit :)

Otherwise, PSU is great, but until you tape the cables, so they won't move out :)

No, cables just don't have any locking mechanism - free to slide in and out. And it's not a bug, it's a feature. "Easy connection" they call it :)

I have an XTR 650 and I am calling BS on this. You need to push in the cables until the clips snap into place:

Every one of those clips snaps into one of the sockets on the power supply (using a stock photo for this once since I don't feel like opening my PC):

Or they changed the design recently and didn't tell anyone...

Yeah, Im not familiar with any models we sell that don't have retention clips... If you are having issues with them staying in, please contact me and ill see if i can send another set out. Thanks

There are retention clips on my XTR 750 and the cables seat rather tight. I really have to tug to get them to un-clip from the power supply
