I already have an ATI 4850 and have procured this card and was gonna crossfire them. The cards have the connectors along the top but the XFX did come with one and there isnt one in the old ATI box either. Are these necessary for proper crossfire operation?

And my god do they ever have a slow ass server for downloading files.

Driver program says I needed the two of them hooked up after I got it all together.

You would think they would include one instead I have to buy them for $10 a piece online and wait a few days for them to get here. In my mind crossfire isn't worth the hassle of buying the bridges separately and waiting for them. I would have paid $10 more for the card to have them included.

I agree on that, for these 100USD+ cards, they really do skimp on the options sometimes...

I know you can do software SLI (as a holdoff until you get real SLI cables), but I was not sure if software Crossfire was possible (though the PCIe bus, like software SLI).

XFX is still awesome, though!
