is there a way (even not legal) to play on xbox live with the old dashboard??? i really don't like the new one.
 
Not off the top of my head. However, the newer blade interface can be brought up by pressing the guide button on the controller. Even though its smaller and has a new coat of paint it's pretty much the same as the old interface in terms of functionality. I prefer it over the "main menu" anyway, too.
 
yeah, i think if you just set dash to load game/movie on startup you can navigate it in-game without often having to go to the main one.
 
I would just have back the old 360 that's all, I know that in a legal way I can't play with the old dash, my question is if there's a way to have the old360 back or not. I completely don't like the estetic of the new one, too childish I liked the old hardcore style. any suggests?

Yeah I don't like it either. It seems like everything takes longer to get to and I still sometimes get confused where everything is. Not to mention those stupid avatars.
 
I love it, I don't see how anyone could want to go back, the old interface was pretty crappy IMO.
 
it also runs faster! Especially the guide... popping that up is much snappier than the old guide..

I much prefer the new system!
 
ok... a lot of people likes the new nxe but other people completly hate the new nxe and they prefer the old dashboard, that's why microsoft should give us a choice. that's all.

I REALLY hate the avatars, too cutesy! I feel strongly enough about this that I rarely use it anymore until they do something to make them more customizable.
 
If you hate avatars, then don't pay attention to it. Use some stupid default and forget about it? People complain too much.
 
After I paid 500 bucks for it, I feel compelled to bitch if I don't like something that was changed after the fact. I liked the old dashboard, and if I could get something similar I'd be happy. If I wanted a Wii experience I would have kept the F'ing Wii.
 
I don't mind the new interface, but the store's confusing now. Before, when a new game or DLC came out - it was pretty easy to locate. Now, unless it's some sort of "featured" download, it's a pain to find what you want. My DL'ing habits have gone way down since the new dash came out.
 
Press the Guide button.

That brings up a mini-menu that's pretty much identical to the layout of the old Dashboard.
 
The only I like about the new dash board is the ability to install games to the hard drive. It feels snappier now as well compared to the old version. Other than that, I don't pay much attention to it. I have it set to play the disc the moment I put it in so I see the dash for maybe 3-4 before my game loads

Lucky you, mine runs considerably slower with the new dash. One thing I had always liked about the Xbox was the dash.... not so much anymore.

But seriously, I haven't found it to be any faster an MUCH slower in some areas.

Every forum has everyone saying "press the guide button for the 'old dash".... Just give me the old dash.
 
new games, like HAWX and MLB 2009 appear to have the NXE bundled with them as well. Whether you're forced to install it, I dont't know. If so then there's soon gonna be no way to avoid it.
 
the older interface it was EASIER to get to your games and definately easier to watch HD-DVD content
