ok well heres my project

the part's.

1 xbox my box is a 1.1
1 mod chip i an going to use a 2.6
1 led fan i used red
1 laser leds red same
1 neon plasma tube red same 12''
2 fan grill's i use wire but any well work
1 hard drive i'm going to use a 120gb maxtor
that is all the big part's

the small part's

1 fan adater thing ;)
1 roll of 20g wire any color
sand paper 220,320,400,600,1200 grit's
1 sanding block
1 evox bio's i'm using m8 but m7 well work
1 evox i'm using fire****ers evox autoinstall
that about it.

tool's
dremel or clone
dremel bit's
really small screw driver's
soldering iron
solder
hot glue gun
sharp knife
wire cuter's
some thing's i can't think of rite now lol :D

now heres the lite mod all wired up

ok heres the top with most of the crap for it layed out
the pole was a cb thing and the little fan grill i'm going to drill a hole and put it on the back side for a small dvd window and the 80mm grill just to go over the all clear jewel.

well i don't have the chip just yet but when i get it i well pm you some pics and i well look for a tut ok ;)


edit:just want to clear this up this is not a doom theme more like a area51 style mod but i'm not going to say any more cuz i like living lol

ya its a cb i jack off a rig lol no had it in a old part's box cut aboat a foot off i think it goes with the theme.

ok i'm going to start all the cuting and grind'ing to day so look back to night and i hope to post the pics that is if the site don't go down lol

ok got the dvd grill cut looks hot.
[glow=red,2,300](warning)hole saws are not to be used by little moders if a hole saw locks up it can brake your riste(warning)[/glow]

in this pic you can see the last bit of rebel skin (cry) lol

and were the hole is was a flok i got really lucky on that one lol.

Those fan grills are my favourite fan grills ever made. I wouldn't consider using anything else, maybe a lighted counter-strike one but I love those ones :)

Nice job, can't wait to see it finished.
 
ya i am going for the hardcore look so wire was the only way to go.

and i hope i can get it done bye this monday thats if i can get the paint.
 
Just ignore them. Now to get back on topic, those fan grills look good. Does the CB antenna actually do anything?

why does evry one like the fan grill's there not that big of a deal? and no the cb is just for show.
 
Okay guys, PM each other if you want to discuss history or whatever, this is a mod thread :)

I also like the fan grills. I just can't stand these new ones with weird patterns - I love the look of a nice plain round grill like those. Lots of airflow and a clean look that's not ricey at all.
 
first just to get this out of the way plz all drop south ok you don't like it good for you and i have like 3 or 4 black buddies thay help me and i help them ok god.

now with the grills ya i can't stand the laser cut ones just don't look right and thay do stop a ot of air flow so ya wire was the only way to go.

ps,later today i well put some pics of the paint'ed top and i sanded the (xbox) off the dvd cover looks a lot cleaner now.

updates 12/03/04 time 10:00

ok got some work done its all paint'ed up and it looks so cool.

well the led light thing i paint'ed red coz no one does that and looks cool lol.

don't no why i just paint'ed the one part white but looks cool.

paint'ed the dvd cover red and sanded the XBOX logo off clean :D

and paint'ed the top and front.

if you can see the spots that don't have wrinkle paint that was planed.
 
Absolutely spectacular! I had endeavored XBOX modding quite a while ago, unfortunately-my XBOX Live subscription had been subject to detention.

Hello, nice mod going there, man! I like those fan grills, they make your box look "cleaner", I hope you understand what I mean...

Are you planning to put dust filters in there, or dust is not something to be afraid of?

dust really is not a big deal all i well have to do is clean it 1 time a month

and the other guy why don't you like the grills to plane i like them so to bad
 
om i'm ban from there so i can't look :D . well to say i found 1 more fan grill to go with the dvd grill so i'm going to put it on the right side. and some work on the front but i well show you that later lol :cool:

..dunno.. they look alrite with steel/ alu but ugly with plastic..
 
lets see.. chop off the top of the rom, have a hole right over it with no filter.

If that doesnt spell "why is my xbox not reading discs" in a few months i dont know what does.

Creative, to say the least, but id advise a plexi window and not an open hole over the rom :)
 
i dont like it...nothing special looks too plain for my taste..doesnt stand out the green logo acuattly looked better now...if u had put something glowing in the middle or something like that it would give it more taste..my opinion

Personally, I like plain. Mod looks good, although I would have to agree with the previous post about plexi over the dvd-rom hole. I think that would look better, maybe with a white LED to show it off or something. But, that's just my $0.02 and do whatever the hell makes you happy. :)

Sorry, but I think this looks terrible. Really poor paint job and illogical holes.

I don't like putting people's work down, but this is anything but "clean".
 
well i like the paint looks just like i wanted it to. and like i have sed before ITS NOT DONE!!!!!!!!!!!
