Xbox not reading disks

Hey guys, about a week ago my xbox would sometimes not read disks, now it wont read any. I have taken the xbox apart and cleaned it out and also cleaned the lens but it still wont work.Any ideas on how I can get it to work? Is there a replacement DVD Rom I can buy??
Any help is appreciated.

you probably have a philips / thomson drive. they have been known to have issues. You can find a samsung drive on ebay that works a lot better. Search for xbox and samsung on ebay and you will find a bunch for sale. I had the same issue with mine.
 
is there a certain samsung model number I can get? I wanna see iff I can get one off newegg or somthing.

you can't just get "any" one from newegg unless you get a special power adapter pig tail. The power connection is proprietary. The drive you need is a Samsung SDG-605 or the 616... I believe both of these have the correct connections.
 
Ok I figured out that the lens on the xbox is loose, I have a samsung SDG-605 in it so I guess its a newer model xbox, the lens might have come loose when I had it in a box when I was moving. Ive seen on a few xbox forums that you can tighten the lense but I dunno how to, can anyone point me to a guide or somthing to tell me how to tighten it?
