Xbox Next Specs

MS is copying the opposition again, I guess ;)

There is one thing this does tell us, though. They're both using the same types of processors and graphics cards. That means that, if the Nintendo Revolution comes out a couple months after the XBox 2, it will have newer versions of the same hardware, and can therefore be assumed to be more powerful..

This logic is mind blowing.

I notice you didn't put that in quotes. Good one.

Anyway. The Xbox2's harddrive is optional, and yes it is needed to have downloadable content. But at least they now give you an option. Don't like LIVE, don't buy it and you don't then need the HD. Yeah, so boo on MS for giving people choices. BOOO!! HISS!!

Stop being so biased. I never booed MS for giving people choices. In fact, I feel they SHOULD give people choices; aka, a free version of Live without the downloadable content and extra goodies and limited contacts, and a paid for version with everything. Instead, people have to turn to third party alternatives if they don't want the extra features.

I didn't say it was bad that they're giving you the option of the hard drive in the XBox 2. Repeat, I did NOT say it was a bad thing. I was just saying it makes it like the other consoles (the PS2 has an optional hard drive, too), so it's not a 'superior' point anymore.

Stop twisting everything I say. I say that the downloadable content is available because the XBox has an HD to store it on, and thats why the other consoles don't have a lot of downloadable content, and somehow you flip around and make it sound like I'm booing MS for giving people choices. What. The. Heck.

AHAHAHAHA! Hold on I am still laughing.

It is called laughing so hard I can't type. Feel free to requote this post.

You keep interjecting future features and products into the LIVE vs All thing. I didn't even mention the new LIVE stuff that hits with the launch of the next Xbox.

But the point is mute becuase you already stated that you are a cheap person. So nothing LIVE will ever offer will sway you to use it. So why continue trolling?

Well at least you can take that with a smile and shrug it off. There are a fair number of forum posters who could not do the same.

Why says I shrugged it off? I'm going to come over there and kill you with an axe, because as everyone knows video games make people violent! :p

(j/k of course! :D )

One thing we ALL can agree on is this; that E3 05 is going to be awesome!

540,000 sq. ft. sold out in record time of gaming nervana! :themosthugegantic:eek:ever!:

Not at all. I freely say that, right now, Live is superior to all. (I repeat, LIVE IS SUPERIOR IN TERMS OF FEATURES) There is nothing out there with a better features list. HOWEVER, since my ethernet cable doesn't reach my room, I'm just going without online altogether.

And if I did have an XBox, and was going online with it, I would probably be using XLink Kai, since I am willing to give up the downloadable content to have all the rest for free. This bit is opinion, I'm not declaring that all people must abondon Live, or that Live sucks in any way.

But the point is mute becuase you already stated that you are a cheap person. So nothing LIVE will ever offer will sway you to use it.

By that I mean I don't want to pay extra for features I will likely not use very much, when I can get the basic package free.

So why continue trolling?

Dude, asking questions is NOT TROLLING.

Look it up.

"To utter a posting on Usenet designed to attract predictable
responses or flames"

The fact that people are throwing fits because I aksed WHY XBox Live was superior does not mean I was deliberately trying to provoke anything.

All I've said (now that you actually got around to answering me) is that XBox Live is superior, but the extra features would not be worth the money to me personally so I would use XLink Kai that has most of the features, for free (XLink Kai is for XBox, PS2, and GameCube and replaces all of their online functions with their free alternative).

That's ALL. And that bit is opinion, nothing to argue about. So can we get off this subject?

Oh yeah! I wanna go soooo bad :(

All three next gen consoles + more Unreal 3 demoes + next gen games + Zelda GC + anything else they throw at us.

Maybe we'll get a glimpse at Burnout 4?

Oooh, oooh, and online DS games!

And what the PS3's graphics will actually look like!

And whether the XBox 2 actually is backwards compatible or not!

And I really, really want to know what the Revolution is all about.

OMFARKING GAWD... it is my birthday today... can we stop this thread crapping for just today and get back on track?

Praxis: Go make you a nice Revolution thread and post all the info and rumors you can find, ok?

I feel kind of stupid for asking ths but

IMO, we are going to be letdown, like all the other prequels...

I mean, goerge lucas... Every single set is CG. theres even one scene with palpatine in his office, his DESK is CG, I mean c'mon. When actors have to wrok with nothing... they cant act all that good.

Plus, Goerge has become a crappy director (not to mention, the only original star wars he ever did direct, was the firs one, a new hope)

Im more excited for Hitch Hikers guide to the galaxy, as well as Sin City.

HHGTTG looks sweet, but have you seen the (perferably HD version) full length trailer? It looks incredible. Forget the Jar Jar stuff, this is going to be one serious SW movie.

I know why you chose PS2's online over Xbox. You don't have an Xbox. That makes the choice pretty easy I'd say.

And everything on that list can be found by two things...ONE, using the product. TWO, using the interent to research the product. The second would be something and intelligent person would find easy. To bad I had to do it for you huh? I guess I shouldn't assume that someone knows about a product before they say another product trumps it. My bad.

You don't know anything. I actually contemplating buying an xbox, and xbox live. but I realized it wasn't worth it for me. I don't even game online that much with my ps2, but I know I prefer a free service without really negligible extras to one I have to pay for. I'm already paying for my broadband, so why pay again? To get a friend list? I agree the features are plentiful, but don't really mean much for a person who doesn't spend their life on video games. And why bother searching the internet when I can have the wisest explain to me? I was going to bother with an well thought out and fact-supported post, but seeing your lack of maturity on the whole, I've decided against it. I'm not even going to bother anymore. You can't even grasp the simple concept of having to explain to someone your beliefs. You're the one who believes it's better, thus you have to explain it to me, I don't have to explain why it's not, I'm not the one making the claims. The same would go if I told you there were aliens, you'd ask me to prove it, and it would be my responsibility to do so. I'm just resaying what Praxis did already, so it's uselss. I also agree fully, or mostly with what he said about the features xbox live offers.

I know that the post you quoted was not directed at you. I guess reading and comprehension just don't happen at the same time for some people. I wish you luck with that in the future. Good day.

Just want to point out; if you were considering buying an XBox for the games rather than for Live, you can always use XLink Kai. http://www.teamxlink.co.uk Hook the XBox to your PC and router and go online for free that way on all the XBox games that go online.

I chose GC over XBox because I perferred the games rather than the online service.

But yeah, I agree with what you're saying. XBox Live is BETTER, but for some people, they don't want to pay extra for the extra package when they can get the basic setup free. Say, me :D

What? I said that in response to what you said quoting me. You don't even make sense anymore.

okay tiny, you said this:

"I know that the post you quoted was not directed at you."

when you quoted me saying this

"You don't know anything" adding on a humorous "blah, blah, blah"

which I never said.

I don't understand what you said because it doesn't make sense.
