Xbox 360- Your Top 5 Games

Ok so i just recently bought a xbox 360 off of a forum member, and am looking for some great games for it that have been released souly for this console (not pc/ps3 ). Can you please post your top 5-10 games.

BTW the console came with GTA4 (which i already own for ps3, and Halo 3)

Shoot lots of the games I would put on this list have already been released on the PC. I'd probably throw Fable2 on here when it comes out, but I don't know if that is or isn't coming out to the PC.

Arcade Games:

Gears and Bioshock were both great. And since we are counting arcade games; kind of in that same vain: KotOR.

I got my 360 off of these forums as well. Lasted about...13 months and kicked the can, luckily it was under extended warranty so I got a new console (mfr'd 2 weeks before I received it).

Games to pick up:

Gears of War
Call of Duty 4 (if you don't already have it)
Forza Motorsport 2
Bioshock
Ninja Gaiden Black (original Xbox game, alot better than NG2)
Kameo: Elements of Power
The Orange Box

Only one I really own that is 360 specific is Crackdown. Hell I bought my 360 just to play that. I also have the Tony Hawk that came out before skate and that was a blast, not sure if its 360 specific though.
 
Gears of War, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Oblivion, & Burnout Revenge have been my favorites.
Granted 3 of those are no longer exclusive titles, but they were console exclusives upon release.
For multi-platform titles, you've got to include GTA4 and Rock Band.

(EDIT: You have to love Sixthsense's mention of Condemned 1. That game really was pretty ground-breaking. I still think it's the scariest game of all time)
 
Yeah my mistake, Guitar Hero 2, err looks like it was released on the PS3. Learn something new everyday :D

Ordered that a few days ago actually. EB has it used for 7.99, online at least, so check it out.
 
Most of you knuckleheads didn't read the OP very well. :) He said to list your top five 360 games that are NOT on the PC or PS3. That being said, my list is:

Crackdown (I had a TON of fun with that game)
Forza 2
PGR4
Dead Rising
Lost Odyssey
 
In no particular order:

Ninja Gaiden II

would probably be my "only 360 exclusive" top 5. Other games that you can get elsewhere that I play on my 360 a lot of would be COD4, Rock Band, NCAA, and the GTA you already have. Mass Effect and BioShock are also awesome if you haven't played them yet. I wouldn't recommend Orange Box or Oblivion for the 360 (unlike the previous games), but they are there too.


For upcoming games, Fable 2 looks pretty neat, and the second Gears should be some good mindless fun :) You might also want to look into SCIV if that is your thing.

EDIT: Oh on Gears I was thinking "not PS3", hm... I guess if I had to drop that I would sub in Dead Rising, though IIRC that is coming to other consoles if it hasn't already.

...That's just 4, but they're the only exclusives I've really played the shit out of unless I'm forgetting something. Well, except Braid because it's relativey new and time is relatively scarce. All absolute must plays if you like their genres at all.

Obviously hit up GTA IV and COD4 if you haven't already like everyone said. Those are also among my favorites but don't "count" due to being multiplatform..

Great thread OP. This gave me some good titles to look for. I have only had my 360 for a couple months and dont know what older games are good to get. I pretty much got it for my friends and I to play Rock band 2.
 
I'm not surprised at most lists, as I would include Lost Odyssey, Dead Rising, and Forza 2 as well. Beautiful Katamari ftw if you liked the previous games on PS2. It's a renter at least. Ninja Gaiden 2 was good, but not as good as Sigma for the PS3 (or black for the original I guess.)

The Darkness isn't a 360 exclusive and neither is Gears of War.

The way to go is to have a demo download fest with anything that remotely interests you and just play through them all. That's my favorite thing about this console generation imo.

There's going to be a castrated version of Dead Rising for the Wii, which doesn't count imo.

How is Chromehounds? I heard it was meh, but I'm a big mecha fan and it's been a pretty dead genre for a while now. :(

I liked it, but i've never been a big mech game guy. I just thought it was straight up fun, lots of cool customization, felt deep to me.
 
1. Forza 2 (though I wish people were more mature when playing online)

3. Mass Effect (Still wish the main storyline was longer)
4. APF 2k8

After that is basically a toss up for me.

I've only had my Elite for less than 2 weeks.
 
Too few mentions for Mass Effect, quite possibly the greatest game for the 360.

I can't wait for the second.
 
Elder Scrolls IV , GTA 4 & The Bourne Conspiracy.... I don't have any more games for 360..:(

I have more Pc games than 360..It's odd I got the 360 the day they came out..I only got a Pc in November...:confused::rolleyes:

You are seriously missing out. Crackdown is pretty great, Forza2, ultimate alliance, the halos, madden 09 is I think the first real step forward for the game in a while... dead rising.

Pick up some used 360 games on ebay or amazon marketplace... good deals. Just got R6Vegas (first one) for $10 shipped.
