Since there are alot of threads popping up xbox 360 in xxxx,xx... i figured we shoudl consolidate, so I made a frapper account for it.

http://www.risingconcepts.com/frapper/xbox360kiosks

Its pretty straight forward. Under name put the Store name (NOT YOUR NAME!!!), zip should be obvious.

EDIT: To all the assholes posting garbage on the site, lay off. I will not hesitate to take the site down if I have to keep babysitting for a bunch of five year olds. Grow up and stop ruining a good thing for everyone else!

EDIT2: Thanks steve for the front page pimpage!

One of the first places in the country that they put an XBOX360 demo unit is Littleton, Colorado...

Interesting choice.

Meh... coincidence. I really don't see why MS would have a reason to ship it to them first. If I had to bet, they either shipped from somewhere close, or that store simply made sure to get there kiosk up right off.

Well, these arent the only locations with them, just the only ones that have been reported thus far...give it a few days

The supercenter in Norton, VA has one, just came from there, played it a little and wasnt impressed at all. Wished they would have picked some better games to have demos for (or atleast a different call of duty demo).

I just called the walmart by me (Reno, Nevada) and the lady said they have the display already she just doesnt know exactly when they are going up. She thinks maybe on the 25.
Now I just have to think of a way to sneak into their wharehouse.

Holy crappers. I just spend a while finding the zip codes and enteringthem all for the last list. Anyone want to step up and do these?

hmmm... kinda wierd.

I live in North Idaho and I was surprised that, according to the Frapper map, every Walmart in North Idaho supposedly has Kiosks... WTF?

Whatever... I'm going to Walmart tomarrow for a few things... I'll check up on it.

Hrmm... I'm headed down near Elk Grove tomorrow. I might need to take a little detour past walmart to check this out. :D :D

I didn't add those, but it would appear so. Certainly not every walmart, but it looks like quite a few of them. Call first?

looks like they are creaping up in my area. Will have to go there late saturday night. ;)

Littleton, Colorado is the number 1 test market in the world (just took a marketing test 2 hours ago!) - the reason, I dont know - they just are - they get all the new products (especially soft drinks and snacks) first. Lucky bastards.

Anyone know what kinda TV's they have these setup on?

Are they all the same kind of TV?

More importantly are they HD 16:9 screens?

Once again...we getting screwed in Texas

Sweet! I need to send my friend there. 23 years old and still hasn't gotten laid. Sounds like it is a sure thing in Texas! (being sarcastic of course)

You should have a few in your area. There is this guy that runs a sight called spinning360.com that said there are kiosks in Austin and Houston.

Also remember, they may have them, but ONLY a Microsoft rep is allowed to set them up. It could be weeks before they hit the floor shelves though.

Texas is home of the craziest bitches! This I know all too well.

I quit my job last week and have nothing better to do, i'm gonna wash my lude, get baked and go to some walmarts, there are at least 6 within 10 minutes of me each.

That's suprising. Littleton must be considered Anytown, USA. I live just a few blocks from the Littleton Walmart. Anyone want pics of the 360 kiosk?

edit: Linkage to pics already up: http://www.team-xmg.com/carl0/Xbox360/Xbox.htm

Becuase we just rock like that :D

question for anyone who has tried it: what did you think of the controller? i really liked the S controller, and i am afraid the new one will suck. whats it like?

I just found out that the Wal-Mart on Charlotte Pike in Nashville, TN does in fact have a 360 kiosk, and is currently waiting for a Microsoft employee to come along and put it up on display.

Its pretty nice, very similar to the controller S, but feels alot smaller. I dont really like the new placement of the start button, but the shoulder buttons are a welcome addition. But like all kiosk its attached, so its hard to really get a true feel for it.

The one I went to (Norton, VA) has it hooked up to an widescreen LCD TV. Not sure of the size but I would guess 23" maybe larger.

My guess would be the massive shipping hub that is Chicago - in other words, give it another day or two for shipments to reach New England.
