Hey all

I was wondering if a score of 6154 in 3dmark 05 for x850xt stock is normal?

A8V
A64 3200+@2.4
2GB Kingston Valueram@200mhz ddr400 (this sh*t wont overclock!!)
Enermax Noisetaker 425W
ATI X850XT AGP

was just wondering if its time to take the leap into pci-e or if theres something up with the system. Doesnt seem that long ago i just bought this card.

I get around 5100 on my X850XT oced to 560/600, however I'm running a 3.3Ghz P4 with 1GB RAM.

I get 6691 3DMarks with the rig in my sig, so yea, I would say you are right on par.

I was thinkin about a upgrade, but other than Prey theres not much on the horizon for me. Guess i will wait to see what Crysis is going to take.

Nah, what ya got already is pretty good. I would hold off till some new tech like DX10 comes along if you can.

Really only Fear and Oblivion are the ones giving me troubles. Not enough new games to test new ram out with. Damn slow year. I was thinking going a step up on the video card, but i guess im already at the top with agp.

that sounds about right on my Current machine which has a x850xt, gets around 5600 points in 05, in 06 I get around 2100 points :) Hope I helped

I get 6150 points in '05 with a 3.0 GHZ P3. Anyone getting much lower than that (let's say less than 5600) has performance issues, like having the AGP aperture set too low in the mobo settings. Now, mine is a PE, but they only add about 200-250 in the 3dMark scores.

No shit? You have a Pentium 3 running at 3Ghz. Wow!

I don't know what is wrong with mine but I have seen people with similar setups hitting 6000+ in 3dMark05. I have already set my AGP aperture in bios to 256. Since 3dMark is only a synthetic benchmark, I'm not too worried.

That is a terrible score! You should upgrade immediately...and then send me that X850XT.
:D

Dont know bout anyone else but its kinda worrying seeing scores of anything below 5900 on 3D05 from a X850XT (PE or standard).....gotta be some kind of problem there.

Im gettin an average of 6600 from the bog standard HP OEM comp in my sig an overclocked 600/620 it just about reaches 7000!?!

Kind of hard to upgrade past an X850XT when you have AGP...

6k and above is fine for a x850xt dont worry about it and start gaming......but if you want higher scores then oc the card and put cat 5.13's on
