is it possible to force a WU to a different server? i have had a tinker sitting in que for a day now. the server stats http://vspx27.stanford.edu/serverstat.html say the server is majorly loaded its in the red for CPUload and yellow for NETload. its server 171.64.122.119 any way to force this unit to a different server? or must it be returned to the server it was taken from.

i have tried (-send x) several times with no luck same error everytime:
[00:39:16] Loaded queue successfully.
[00:39:16] Attempting to return result(s) to server...

[00:39:16] + Attempting to send results
[00:39:25] - Couldn't send HTTP request to server
[00:39:25] + Could not connect to Work Server (results)
[00:39:25] (171.64.122.119:8080)
[00:39:25] - Error: Could not transmit unit 03 (completed June 30). Keeping unit in queue.
[00:39:25] - Failed to send unit 03 to server

Folding@home Client Shutdown.

this machine has done well over 150 WU to date so i know it can upload its work with out any trouble. if you know how to force to a different server please let me know.

if its not an option ill let it sit in que till it goes through someday(thank god its a TT:) )

thanks in advance,
Buck

If that server's having problems, you might just have to wait it out. I've been impatient before and restarted the client a bunch of times until it finally sent. If you don't want your computer sitting idle, you could always set up another instance of folding and just give it a machine id of 2 and let them both run.

funny thing is it got more work on its own and was working while that unit was in the que. the command line version really is better than the GUI. since the GUI would just sit on it for days trying to upload and not working on another.

thanks Mattman.

oh and it just uploaded two WU about 5 minutes ago guess i should chill out some:eek:

No problem. I forgot that it'll download another one and work on it while the other one's trying to send. As long as you're not pushing the deadline, it's usually not that big a deal to just wait it out.

Yeah, but some of us are stats whores and need to see the credit as soon as the unit is done. :p
