Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yeah, the servers have been up and down over the past few days. I've had outages for both SMP and ATI GPU work units. Just wait it out and eventually they'll come back up and you'll get work.
No problem with SMP work units but it did take the nVidia GPU client about 45-60 minutes to get a new work unit earlier. The finished work unit couldn't be uploaded either and is still sitting in queue.
I took a look at the server the client was trying to connect to and it was accepting connections but seemed to have a somewhat large load at the time.
I have one GPU client waiting. The other one still running. Now if I can pull an 1888 and ride this down time the rest of the way out things would be good
Yeah. just did that remotely. Unfortunately one of my boxes didn't come up gracefully (near as I can tell). I'm flying home in a few hours so I'll be able to check when I get there.
how do you monitor remotely? Just curious, because as soon as I get the net at my new place, I'll move my 3way out there to help on electric costs here, and its like 50 in the basement 24/7
I remote into the box itself. I use logmein.com. It works well for me and is free. I can reboot and do just about anything I need to.
I just found logmein ignition today. It doesn't require a web browser and gets past the firewall my client has up and running. It's like 35 a year and I can expense that without problems.
Anyone know if there is an update on GPU Assignment Servers? If it weren't for my Linux SMP clients, I'd have no production at all. I checked Pande Groups website as well as folding forum. I was hoping someone might have the "in" and can provide some info
After having to wait a while, I was finally able to grab other GPU work unit for my 8800GT. From what I've seen lately, I've been mostly getting the 511 pointers and haven't seen an 1888 pointer since last week probably. The 1888 pointers would be nice since they get decent PPD and take a while to crunch. It would definitely help with the hammering on the servers if they had the larger work units out there.
