Hey guys, I am looking for an old machine to turn into a hardware fire wall. Something with 512MB RAM, 20GB HDD, and a P3 or something close. Let me know what you have in working condition. Looking for as cheap as possible. Even free and I will cover shipping (hey you never know). Let me know what you have to offer.

I am PayPal Certified and will only do payment through them.

Thanks!

Stephen

if you're in dallas i have a amd thunderbird machine you can have for free, not shipping this sucker though = (

I will take parts too! lolI have an AGP vid card, spare 80GB SATA drive, and case...

I have a few HP Vectra's
P3/733mhz, 256mb PC133, 2 NIC's and CDRom drive
- onboard video and sound

- oops, sorry, I dont do PayPal

Don't know what you're planning on running on this thing, but I just wanted to point out that if all you want is a firewall, a 486 is capable of routing a T1's worth of bandwidth... you don't need a P3 with half a gig of RAM to route packets...

  • Creative Labs SoundBlaster AWE64

  • U.S. Robotics (Gateway Telepath) 56k Modem
  • 14GB Quantum FireBall ATA66 Hard Drive
