4GB DDR2 sticks that work on Intel boards are quite pricey and rare. If he has an AMD system, you can find some on ebay quite cheap, I bought a 4x4GB sticks for $23 but they didn't work on my Intel system, so I traded them with another member here.

these are the ones I ordered, they were $12/pair when I ordered them, they are $20/pair now. But like I mentioned above, they might not work if he has an Intel system.

As Zepher said, these are pricey and rare. You're not going to find them cheap. Better off finding 4x2GB if you want 8GB of RAM in DDR2. Much cheaper and easier to find.

The ones Zepher linked to are "high density" modules that won't work in a lot of boards. For max compatibility you want "low density" and they aren't cheap in large sizes.

Are you still looking? I have some low density sticks. I think I have two pairs of 2x2Gb double sided, so 4x2Gb total.
