WOW = Not fun

thanks :)

OP and others sorry you don't like WoW, many others do, move on to another game and have fun.

QFT. Of course you'd have to go through the learning experience of Bug Family on in AQ40 :p

i hate the bug family. just like i hated shazz until we got enough dps to kill him before he could cause too much trouble. dont really mind any other boss, except firemaw when enough resists arent happening for the mt.

Most (smart) companies do this with free trials, like FFXI for one. It's to prevent people from just picking up free trial after free trial after free trial. One would think that starting over again and again with different accounts on free trial would deter anyone, but it doesn't. Some people are weird like that and have like 50 level 30 characters. The second reason is like a movie theater driver's license check. They're not asking you to drive, they're looking at the age. Likewise WoW is a game paid for by people who have the ability to get credit cards or at the very least game cards, and they do not wish to support people who have no intention or ability to ever pay for WoW.

I don't have a CC so I guess I'm not playing :(

its not a bad game, its fun for a time, but eventually the raiding does get old, the stupidity of some players does get old.

for me what made me stop was that it was ruining the rest of my life. having been out of the WoW life for about 4 months or so now I feel a lot better. I actually go to work every day, i've lost 10 lbs, better relations with my girlfriend and friends, and I can actually play other games (!). dunno for me the advantages to stop playing definitely outwieghed those to continue, it was fun, but life is better now.

no doubt though, Blizzard has designed a masterwork game...

Hopefully tonight we down the bug family.

Also, in response to those of you ragging on FPSers being mindless and dull or whatever, what I've personally come to realize is that that is exactly what I'm needing in a video game. I mean, it IS a video game. I go to work all day and stress my little brain, I don't want to come home and just have to work it even more. I want to relax, and do something just that -- mindless. It just so happens that these mindless games consist of blowing stuff up, which after a long day of work is (you know it ;) ) is plain entertaining and relaxing. If I want to think more, I'll find something more productive to do than play games.

my $.02

And if it gets boring, you can always play another game, read a book, watch a movie, or god forbid, even go out and do something.
I hope to get in a guild eventually, but atm am having fun just leveling and talking to people.
Equipment helps, but it also depends alot of the player imho. Seen alot of people who have to be told what to do for their classes that should know already. No use having the biggest, baddest stuff and yet can't tell which end of the weapon to use or what spell to cast.
I have noticed a shortage of priests lately, and sometimes warriors. Probably because most priests tend to get burned out easily. Other classes have a little leeway in how they play, while a priest is alot more rigid.
Just my 2 cents though..... :p

I haven't played it and view myself as lucky for the following reasons.

1) grindfest
2) lame pvp
3) restrictions
4) item dependance

you said it. I prefer mmo's where skill comes into play in PVP more than phat lewt. I also prefer when the best things are crafted by players.
