yah..i ordered a canon SD400 digital camera today and it shipped with tracking number in an hour.
 
I agree, I ordered a 2001fp today as well at a great price of $464 shipped and it has been less than 10 hours and I have a shipping # and my delivery date is 3 days sooner then they first told me 2 hours after the sell.

They are rocking now for sure, the 2001fp is hands down the best 20inch LCD for the money and with order processing like this they are going to kill everyone that competes with them.

My Canon SD400 I ordered last week for my mother said it was on backorder...

Now you guys say you get them shipped the day when you order!?!

I ordered a 2405fpw last week on Thursday (the 16th) and they still haven't shipped it. Their estimated ship day is tomorrow (the 24th) and from that ship day it should arrive in 3-5 days.

Really? I live in NJ, bought a 2405fpw the same day as you and got it last night, also using the 3-5 day shipping. My est. ship date was tomorrow also, but I got an email monday saying it had been shipped out from Nevada. You should probably call them and see whats up. This is the first time I've ordered from Dell, but they definately seems to move pretty fast with their online orders.
 
I called them the other day and the info they gave me is bascially the same info we get when looking at our order status, and that's pretty retarded.

Well, Dell's claim to me was they ran out of stock, but mine is a replacement so they could be telling the truth and they could be not.

Ordered a 2001fp yesterday morning with free ground shipping and it was delivered today. Live in Dallas and it shipped from Austin.
 
I orderd my monday night, got the tracking number today, should be here monday.

Got mine today :) So I ordered it on Wednesday at around 3:30 pm. thats 2 days for me.
My dell stuff seems to come from GA. or TX.

I love this Monitor I returned the Veiwsonic VP201 for this since they are the same but the picture on the Dell is so much better. It is brighter and less washed out. The stand on the Viewsonic though was great beats Dell's hands down.
 
still must say newegg's wins. i think one of my monitors arrived in 2 days, the other, in three. (purchased at seperate times)

I ordered my 2nd 2405 on 6/16 too. Scheduled ship out date was 6/24, but got an email today indicating new ship-out date of 7/1.
 
I ordered 5 2405FP screens, still waiting and the order was placed on May 18
 
I ordered my 2405 last Thursday (6/16), and I received it last Tue (6/21).

I'm from San Jose and my monitor shipped from San Pablo, CA. I'm surprised that Dell is now claiming that it's out of stock for some people that ordered on the same date as me because I ordered it around 9PM, yet I received it really fast.

Was there any problem with your payment method? That's the only thing I knew that might possibly delay your order except if 2405 is really out of stock at this time.
 
Nah, they were probably down to the last batch of units left in inventory, so some people got it some people have to wait, I bet it's pretty random how they processed the orders.

Think of it this way, you will most likely be getting an unit that just came off the production line. Fresh and clean! :)
 
I'm in New Zealand - I think the US gets priority (I know they do over the UK) ;)
 
LoL looks like I am with the millions and millions that also ordered a 2001fp today. I got mine for 464 also but in washington we now pay gay sales tax. So mine was 505 dollars pretty weak sauce but still way cheaper than the original cost. Cant wait for it to get here ahhahh 2001fp. LOL my g4 4200ti should love it....... looks like that will be the next thing tossed out for an upgrade.
 
i ordered the 2405 on the 16th..estimated shipping date was the 24th..well 24th came along and i got the same message some1 else got shipping delayed wont ship till 7/1 so i canceled my order and ordered from the bussiness side for almost 100 cheaper...and the estimated shipping day is 6/30..... also opted for overnight shipping, kinda pissed when i found out i wasn't getting it overnight!!! oh well...long as it comes soon......this sucks waiting, i'm so looking forward to this monitor!!! WoW is gunna look great :)

I doubt you'll get it any sooner. I ordered on 6/17, was supposed to have it shipped today, but got delayed until the 1st also. It sounds like an inventory problem to me.

which part of dell did you order from? the home and bussiness are 2 different departments..i asked the lady about it and she said"the home side was most likely out of stock and the bussiness department had them in stock" so hopefully i will get it sooner...or atleast by friday w/ the overnight shipping :)

Got my 2001FP today after some wrangling with UPS ( they knocked on the gate to my back yard and not my front door [duh!] so I got the delivery notice 5 min after he left it ). Called up UPS and they said I could pic it up tonight between 8 and 8:30p. I got it and IT IS WORTH IT!

I picked up a Samsung 930b before this and 1280x1024 at 19" is sort of useless, just like the 17, but everythings bigger on the screen. 1600x1200 looks great and makes VS.NET much nicer to use. I'm not a gamer so I don't know how this would do for that, especally since my x300 PCI-e card would not be able to push any game at 1600x1200!

I hope everyone else gets theirs soon!
 
I got my e-mail saying the 2005FPW would be shipped this Friday. I was hoping it'd be here by then, but oh well. :(
 
i orddered my 2405 from dell on sat 6/25 .. still says its in production .. packaging .. boxing .. etc .. says ship date is june30th and arrival around 5th -8th of july :(

My 2005 FPW is scheduled to arrive between next Wednesday and Friday. It sucks too because I was hoping to have it this weekend to show off to guests at our party.

I really hope the 2405FPW drops its price down to around $600 or so by the fall time. Maybe for Christmas sales. :) I have the money for one right now, but I am currently in the market for another LCD for my PowerBook, and I am going with the 20" ACD. Ah, so many monitors, so little money!
 
Ordered mine last friday (24th) and they said it wouldnt ship out till the 30th. Then I looked at the thing and clicked on the tracking aera and it brought up ups's website which said it was in transit delivery is suppose to be tommorow so we will see. And the fact that they charged my debit check card and now the amount has disappeared so its like i never bought it might have to call them up and tell them. Maybe they charge once its been develered.
 
Good news!!! My 2005FPW was originally supposed to be shipped this Friday, but I already got the e-mail saying it has already shipped. :) I'm hoping it'll be here by Friday! :cool:

yeah but Newegg's dead pixel return policy sucks bigtime!

what is it? something like 8 dead pixels before they will accept it as a defective item?

thats about as lame as lame gets. who the hell would be willing to live with an LCD that has 7 dead pixels knowing they cant or couldnt do a damn thing about it?

I completely agree. 8 dead pixels is just ridiculous. Hell, just one dead pixel would annoy me. That's one great thing about Dell. They don't really question you when you want to return a defective product. Plenty of people here have exchanged their 2005FPW's and 2405FPW's for new ones without much, or any at all, trouble.
