I currently have 8GB 1333mhz ram and a Nvidia Geforce 670 Vid card. Would upgrading to 16gb 1600mhz ram and/or possibly a 700 series card be worth it?

I run my games on a single 32" monitor and I know what I have currently can handle that, im just looking for an idea of the performance increase. I can easily sell the current ram and card to make the upgrade not so hard on the pocket book.
 
Without knowing the rest of your system specs, the monitor resolution, and the games you play, I can't say for sure.

What makes you think that you need to prepare for an upgrade?
 
My system is as follows.

Asus P8 Z77-V LX Mobo
i5- 3570k 3.4ghz processor
2x 4GB 1333 mhz ram
EVGA nvidia 670 2GB ram
Currently using a 32" Dell monitor set to 1920x1080.
850W power supply

Now I know what I currently have it more than enough to run most games on high to ultra settings for a while, but Im looking to upgrade to a 4 monitor display(3 for gaming, one smaller for browsing the net and movies) sometime in the new year and I was curious if upgrading the ram and vid card now would be worth the payoff then. Im currently playin Rome 2 and notice the slowdown but of course that game is a beast. Im also looking ahead to games like BF4 which recommend a 3GB vid card. Thats it really, is it worth it?

You could justify the RAM upgrade (I suggest a 2x8GB DDR3 1600 kit, and sell your 2x4GB kit) based on the fact that prices have steadily increased over the past year. But right now, you can easily afford to increase your RAM.

As for the video card, I recommend holding off on the purchase until you experience real, significant slowdown while gaming (to the point that you have to drop the settings down to "medium" or lower). That, or until you buy all of your monitors, whichever comes first.

I have two out-of-curiosity questions:
1) What's the native resolution of your Dell monitor?
2) What's the brand, model, and age of your power supply?
 
Sorry for the delay.

The native resolution on the monitor is 1920x1080, its about 3 years olds.

The PSU is a Corsair 850W. Not sure of the exact model, but Corsair only makes 3 850W PSUs and Im pretty sure I got the Gaming edition.

If you got the Gaming Series, then you have the Corsair GS800 800W PSU as there is no such thing as Corsair GS850 850W PSU.

Also, a nitpick: Right now Corsair sells four 850W PSUs: The TX, RM, HX, and TX-M all have 850W models. Then there's the 860W version of the AX and AX-i series.

Anyway, I highly recommend following Tiraides' advice. If you do go for triple monitor gaming, definitely try to aim for higher-end video cards with more than 2GB of VRAM.
