I have built a workstation, this is what I have so far. I want to use my system for graphic design, and 3d rendering and development. This is for a business, I have not used graphic design programs in a while. So things have changed! Cgi videos, some 3d modeling and characters. I also want to play some video games to though.
Asus P9X79 -E WS
Intel i7 4820k overclocked to 4.6Ghz H105
4x4gb ddr3 1866mhz
Seasonic 750 platinum
silverstone Raven RV03 case
this is my current build. I am running a 7770 ghz card right now. I am very satisfied with all my current components right now, besides the GPU.
My main question is, Can I get by with a Titan black? Or a regular titan? It has double floating point, and 1/3 f compared to 1/24 compute on a regular gpu.
Or can I use a gtx 760 together with a K20 Tesla?
Or can u only run tesla with a quadro card?
Thanks for all your help! I am very new to graphic design. Somebody will be training me in this area. Using autocad and blender. And a few other applications. I will start in helping in my relatives company in 1 month.
thanks for all the help!!! Much appreciated!
And I really wouldnt want to spend more than $3000.
Someone I know is selling off one of there K20 tesla cards for 1800. That's why I was asking about running one of those, with a gtx card.
