They got a Slacker on there now. When these showed up with a $200 price tag I freaking laughed my head off. $40 is better, but $200 was someone's idea of a sick joke.
 
Companies should employ woot description writers. The Altec Lansing headphone description was pretty awesome.

Lol. They had one for $14.99 brand new (not refurb like this one) a couple Woot-Offs ago.

They tend to do that with prices sometimes; jack them up $5 and hope people won't remember. And offer refurbs instead of new.

Meh, sort of a crappy Woot-Off so far. Bunch of tools and flash memory, both of which I have plenty of.
 
The Roombas have a high failure rate. So the company gets a lot back. Woot buys the refurbished models in mass quantities. And thus continues the vicious cycle.
 
Here's an interesting question... If you had the ability to write a script to automatically buy a BOC, would you?

The spirit of the BOC is the race to notice it and get your order in ASAP, automating it kind of defeats the spirit.

yes, i would do so if i could write such a script (i cant, dont know how :)). woot servers crashed harder than ive ever seen them crash before when the BOC went up earlier today. i didnt just time out, either, i mean they went DOWN and how..
