So I won a Power Supply recently, and this put me in a good dilemma.
I have an Antec 1200, 2x 4890 Crossfire, OC'ed 920, etc...the system isn't the crucial part of this post.
I already had a Corsair TX850W in my system. I won a CP-850. So this leaves me with two questions.
1. If I switch out the Corsair, would the fact that it has run a month and a half or so already greatly decrease it's life? Is there any effect of running a power supply and then shelving it?
For reference, the current power supply has no issues.
2. This question is of a lower priority, but would you switch the PSUs in my case? I figure all things equal it's worth doing, as the 850-CP won't work in all cases. Plus it was rated well. Still, I figure there's no harm in asking for opinions.
Thanks in advance.
