CPU e6550 OC'd to 3.3GHZ = 5.9
500GB WDC Caviar HDD = 5.9
4GB Adata DDR2 800Mhz ram = 5.9
ATi 1950 Pro 512MB = 5.9
Gaming = 5.9

Interesting that your X1950Pro pulls a 5.9 in Gaming Graphics, whereas Violator's X1900XT only pulls a 5.8... Something rotten in the state of Denmark?

Oh, and 5.9 here last time I ran it.
Q6600 @ 3.2GHz
4GB OCZ SOE 900 @ 800, 4-4-4
Seagate 500GB 7200.9
X1900 AIW

bingo.

I just didn't want to type 456MHz FSB because that would look wussy :)

So I typed out the bus speed as utilized by the motherboard.

Ahaa, quad data rate, I understand, just not the "pumping" bit, but it has a nice sound.:p

Anyway, I'm still not understanding how you got that score with that chipper. And, not that this is of great meaning in the real world, this is a new build for me and I was concerned that I didn't enable something that would produce higher processing numbers.

Then run some REAL benchmark tests to see if your changes have brought benefit.

WEI is NOT a tool suited to distinguishing small differences in performance capability. It is a very crude set of 'benchmark' tools which distinguish much larger differences in performance capability, and it is designed and suited ONLY for determining if your system is capable of running specific software programs!

I saw someone posted a higher score than my 8600GT with a 7600GT

I will need to re-run it tonight.

Here is my specs

Dell Inspiron 1720
2ghz C2D
2GB ram
160gb HD

I just installed x64 yesterday and get 5.7 with my "old" 7800 GTX! ;)

C2D 6850 @ 3.6 Ghz, 4GB Ballistix Tracers, 2 x 36GB Raptors in Raid0, 2 x 7800 GTX's in SLI mode.

Running Vista Ultimate 64 Bit

Is anyone running vista on a single core system? I'm just curious to what scores it would yield

One of my rigs is a bog-standard A64 3000+ rig, with 1Gb DDR400 RAM, a 6600GT display card, and a cheapish 250Gb SATA2 hard drive as the primary system drive. On that rig WEI gives:

Processor: 3.8
RAM: 4.5
Graphics (Aero): 5.5
Graphics (Gaming): 4.5
Primary Hard Drive: 5.8

In other words, WEI is telling me that the rig is capable of running just about any software program currently available, other than a DX10 3D game!

Ahh thats similar to my system specs, a bit over. Shouldn't be too much of a difference. Keep me posted. :D
The specs are as follows:

Pentium 4 3.0C
2 GB Corsair XMS PC3200 DDR
eVGA 5700 Ultra AGP 128 MB
Intel D865PERL
Seagate 80 GB SATA Drive 8 MB Cache

The scores are as follows:

Processor: 4.2
Memory: 4.9
Graphics: 4.2
Gaming: 3.3
Hard Drive: 5.2

This is on Vista Business x86.

I like those P4 C 800Mhz FSB processors. I had a 3.2 overclocked to 3.8...

They are still darn good processors.

Hmm my system specs are as follows:

Pentium 4 2.8B
2GB PC2700DDR
Saphire x1950 pro
Asus P4S533
seagate 160gb (IDE)

I'm debating if it would be worth putting vista on this or just sticking with xp.

The system is more than capable of running Vista. You are good in the two key areas, memory and video. 2 GB is a great level to be at for Vista, and your video card is easily better than my 5700 Ultra in my test system. You'll only be able to run the x86 version, but that won't be a problem.

If you do get it for this one, get a Retail edition so you can transfer the license to your next computer (if you're going to replace it within a year). Also, go ahead and send off for the 64-bit version now (if you don't get UItimate which comes with both) so you'll have it ready for that next system.

Violator, is that Duo overclocked, cuz those are good numbers for that processor. I have a 6550 (4m cache) and the best I can do is 5.2 on the proc, just like the Deacon. I'm wondering if I don't have something setup right. Maybe the Intel speeder , or something like that!

Yes, it's clocked at 3.4Ghz at the mo' ;)

Cheap laptop:

Celeron-M 520 (Conroe-L 1.6GHz)
2GB dual channel
5400RPM SATA/150 HD
GMA950

5.6

I get 5.9 in everything except memory speed for some reason

Specs (all stock)
Q6600
Asus P5K Deluxe
4GB (2x2) Patriot PC2-6400
eVGA 8800GTX
WD Raptor 150gb

PC6400 memory should get a score of 5.9.
My guess is that your memory is 'overclocking' memory, and doesn't reach PC6400 speeds at stock voltage, therefore the SPD info is set to less, so if you just plug it in and let it auto-configure, it runs on lower speed.
In that case, what you need to do is find the spec sheet for the memory, and manually set voltage, clockspeed and timings for the memory (SPD cannot control voltage, and stock voltage is 1.8v, so all memory needs to have 'safe' SPD settings, therefore most PC5300 and faster memory doesn't auto-configure itself to its proper speed, because it needs to run at 2.0v or more).

Main notebook, t61p

C2D t7300 - 4.9
2 GiG mem - 4.8
Quadro 570m - 5.9
Gaming graphics - 5.5
HDD 100gb - 5.1
