Windows doesn't boot after installing Intel Storage Drivers 10.1

Hey everyone

So everytime I install the new intel storage drivers 10.1 on my Windows 7 PC it will not boot; it simply gets stuck in the boot logo and stay there. To make it work, I have to go recovery options and use system restore to make things work again. Any idea what could be the problem?

The mainboard is Asus P6T Deluxe running Windows 7

are you booting using AHCI, RAID, or IDE? try fiddling with ahci to see if that helps
 
any reason you are installing the drivers? if there is no particular reason, leave em alone
