i can see where you're coming from, but i think this database is proving that week doesn't really matter, just good old fashioned oc'ing skill.

Ohh I like that statement... ;) now I hope the known tref isuue will solve my dualchannel issue... Then Ill have a good DC score as well :D

Ohh I know cluttering the thread but I just had to LoL

3000+ Winchester
CBBID 0503EPFW
9x247, 8x275 (so far)
Stock voltage (1.4v, higher doesn't seem to help much)
Stock Air

3000+ CBBID that will do 9x285, idle 35C load 55C stock cooling 1.65vcore(1.75 undervolted i could get 1.85 with a bios flash)

ballz, do you know the rest of the code besides the week?
will update soon. give me some time though

You got my info all tweaked around eclipse , I run 2.61ghz @ 1.64volts or 2.7ghz @ 1.72volts. My cpu is prime stable at 2.61, but fails at 2.7. It games at 2.7 though, oh does it love to game/benchmark at that speed.

i see, thanks for the correction.
*notes that he got disctracted and never updated last night*
:(
time to do that!! :p

You can change mine to stable at 2403 @ 1.55v

You might be able to change it again next week when my new ram gets here. :D

you're the 3rd week 03 with 2.4ghz at 1.55v. something interesting is up there.

i'll update the picture when the next two scores come in.
mamma, bring us something good from that 0444 :D

I had a very nice surprise waiting for me yesterday when I got home... 2 days early and I got all the missing Hardware. So now the Spec is as folows

DFI-SLI DR
AMD 64 3500*
Zalmann 7700 CU
Gigabyte 6800Gt (just 1)
Maxtor 10 300Gb (16Mb cache)
2*512 OCZ 3200 rev. 2
OCZ Power Stream 600W

Since Ill get the XP-CD today I could only see how far it would post so with the memory taken out of the equation I Posted easily

9*300 at stock Voltage
10*280 at 1.500V

CPU:
AMD 3500+

ADA3500DIK4BI
CBBHD 0450SPBW
1169465L40299

I think I may have gotten lucky :D More to come tonite Ill get the CD but Im also going out for dinner and tomorrow im also gone so Ill try to get this beast up and huntin during the weekend and will be back with the longs and shorts of it come monday.

Update:
I can still do the singlechannel as stated (2800). But now, as of yesterday night (this morning is mor correct) Im also hitting the 250*11 =2750 with some Dual channel action but at 1.62V... Im game, memtest and Prime95 benchmark stable but the torturetest fails... just to get the right angle on my results.

3200+ on water

CBBID 0450 (I think its MPM, but I forgot)

Its definatly the cream of the crap for whinchesters, 235x10, 1.7v.

I am running a 3000+ winchester at 2.3ghz. I'm curious about my temps, because I have 28 ambient, and my cpu does between 48C-55C in windows. Under prime95 full load it will go up to max 68C. It completes all the tests just fine. It is stable, but I'm wondering how you guys all get such low temps with air. My heatsink is a Thermaltake SilentTower. Some other specs are 1.55 volts, 256 FSB on an ABIT AV8.

Maybe the upper limits of this CPU in terms of heat are a lot higher than people suspect. My friend had a faulty small form factor case ( came with its own heatsink/fan ) and for a while in windows, his 3500 winchester was runninng at over 90C. It never crashed, and I yelled at him to turn it off really quick. The CPU is fine and running at a much lower temperature now :)

wallslide, you got this stuff on hand? (note the bold)

* model
* 2nd line of the OPN (if you don't know the whole thing, whatever you do is good enough, but the entire line would be most helpful)
* max STABLE overclock
* voltage at that overclock
* cooling type (stock, air, water or phase.. i don't need to know the actual cooling, just the kind)

thanks :D

and i'll be updating it soon. i have to go over to the bursar's office to get my evil student id replaced though :(

Sorry, don't have the 2nd line of the OPN. Will post screenshot shortly (which includes Prime95 results, test ended @ 12+ hours, 0 errors, 0 warnings).

Athlon 64 3500+ Winchester
Max stable overclock: 2.6 GHz (260 HTT x10)
Vcore: 1.600 in BIOS (~1.632 actual per CPU-Z and Asus Probe)
Cooling: Air, 51C after 12+ hours of Prime95

I lied...I discovered a bit of a bug on this motherboard. I am now at 250x10, 1.7v. Still pretty crappy, but better than it was. Please update your chart.

not even the week?

edit? thanks viper. to all of you who don't have your oc's up. it's because you don't have the week. stepping is nice, but i MUST have the week to put it up.
and as a side note, check the front page, i just updated the pic.

Without the OPN, your results don't mean anything. The whole point of this thread is to see what week / stepping is giving what results for people who have yet to OC there chip and want to get an idea of how it should clock. Its not to hard to pop off your heatsink and get it, but your results are useless without them, because there is no way to apply them to the chart and get usefull information out of them.

I'll get my stepping this weekend if I have time... I wish I didn't have to take the heatsink off, but I should probably put on a new layer of thermal paste anyways since this one is getting old.

wow i lucked out on my CBBID then, its week 51 thats all i can tell ya since im not pulling the stock cooler off and cleaning it just to give you the whole line, it runs 285x9 uh like 1.55-1.6 flucuating vcore idle 38C load 55C ambient 70F, my room is like 54F :)

Winnie 3200+
CBBID 0508 EPMW

Currently running @ 2.6ghz 260*10 @1.65v

Only had it four days now, plan on really pushing it after I get better memory...

I went to PCCLUB the other day, and asked if I could trade my CBBID 0503 for their CBBHD 0448. They said no, because I told them the CBBHD was a better overclocker... heh

3500+ @ 2530Mhz on a Pelt
Idle @ 2C Load @ 5C

230HTTx11

To be honost, im extremely dissapointed in this Asus A8N POS. I tested the HTT found it to top out safely at 328 and the memory to top out at around 620mhz. What i am angry about is the boards bios limiting the VCore to 1.55 past bios 1.02. Basically 2500mhz is what i top out at under completely stable settings, i can get it up to 2700mhz but it will start to give errors in Prime95 pretty much all the time set past 2600mhz. As most know its a power issue when you get up to there. To add to the problems the board doesnt seem to want to POST when its shut down and restarted with a healthy OC on quite a few occasions. I'v run 2 seperate ones under basic very small over clocks (such as 240HTT 10multi) and it will simply freeze. However i can pop in the bios, and back out to let it restart and it boots windows perfectly, run Prime95 for 24 hours straight + gaming, no problem. Shut down and reboot, causes a hang at the Asus welcome screen. Very picky, and the limiting of the VCore is quite the joke to everyone who saw reviews without this VCore limit. Stay far and away from this board if you plan to OC alot. I'm just happy i didnt care about SLI. Really have high hopes for the coming ATI boards but i will never buy Asus again. Makes Abit and DFI look amazing in comparison with the OC options they give.

I'll update this with all needed info if/when this gets fixed, but for now, just take the warning if you're looking for a board.

i'll update soon. i need sleep now though.

and, in response to that, i got a dfi yesterday. i'm trying to wrestle more than 250mhz out of the board. it's not picky.. just keeps trying to detect the raid that i don't have whenever i do somethign it doesn't like :(

Model: 3200+,
Stepping: CBBID 0446TPAW
Max Stable o/c: 2.40Ghz

Still a work in progress. Processor running high temp. deltas under load. If I can sort that out then should be able to juice it some more.

thanks guys. it's updated

Shifra, i would have put yours in, but i think you forgot to read the first post and include some crucial information ;)
as for charles555... he's been banned  besides, that's a newcastle he posted :p

hmm, another one. dug this out of the a64 oc data thread.

Max Stable 24/7 OC = 2.90ghz
vcore = 1.8
Prometia MAch 1 (bad mount, only -2C under load, will remount this weekend and go for 3ghz)

week? stepping?

i repeat for about the millionth time, the data is useless without those two :D

problem is I don't know and its mounted with phase change. Have you ever mounted a phase change cooler before in a case? I can't exactly pull it off and check...is it on the box anywhere like it is for intel? any way to check without spending 4 hours unmounting it and remounting it? If not, I will do it this weekend.

no, it's only on the heatspreader. i'll make a space for you in the database though, just pm me whenever you find out what it is.
and yeah.. i've never worked with one myself, but i can imagine that dealing with all the sealing/insulation is a pain with phase change. if you'd rather not deal with it, it's ok.

though, just out of curiosity, do you have a problem with sub-zero boots?

Nope, but I'm not hitting -40C under load either, don't forget. I have a bad mount so I only got to -20C idle @ stock everything in bios, and -8C idle @ 2.9ghz under load.

and be glad you never mounted phase change, seal string SUCKS and turning the little hex bolts a quarter turn at a time with the awful little driver they give you takes about 30min just to turn the screws.

I have to remount this weekend anyway to try to get 3ghz, I will pm you then.

all right, best of luck getting those temps lower. hopefully you don't have the cold bug that most winchesters seem to have

ADA3200DIK4BI
CBBFD 0433SPMW

230 X 10 @ 1.4 vcore, the rest is in the sig. I have a few things to do first before I can start pushing more volts through this guy, i.e. new thermal paste for the NB, putting the NV5 silencer on the gt and repositioning the thermal diode, I still don't trust the MSI core center.

yep, got it last october when they first came out, but haven't really pushed it much, but once i get through my list of things to do, then i will try benching it again.

245x10@1.53v - please update. Have done this by adding a panaflo 2500rpm fan to my rig.

I've received a Gig of VX today and so will have to remount my HS to fit it. Am gonna go crazy for a perfect mount. If that doesn't sort my temp.delta probs. then I'm screwed or will have to start practising lapping!
