Anyone done something of the like? Any issues?

I have Win 7 pro, and I have no need/desire to use the features in Win 7 Ultimate edition. But I need to at least touch my hands on it enough to prep for 70 series certification testing for my MCDST tests.

Anyone had issues doing the above, is it possible? I've seen no notations to it in any documentation I've come across.

Cool, thanks for confirmation. I didn't wanna buy a Technet, and then determine afterwards it didn't work out for me.

I went ahead and snagged VMWare Player, once I patched the BIOS on my DFI board to fix the VTD-D issue, I installed the x64 version without issue in VMPlayer. Since I don't need anything fancy, and I was familiar with VMWare products I just went that route.

Works like a charm, installing the 2008 R2 server alongside to mimic a full network
