I have been using a bluetooth pluggable USB 2.0 adapter and bluetooth earbuds on my HP Pavilion 64bit laptop (Win 7 Home Premium) for quite a while and recently I wanted to revert back to the default Beats Audio/laptop speakers. I've tried everything I know to do this and have had no luck at all. It doesn't matter that the IDT High Definition Audio Codec is selected as the default. I've gone into Device Manager and disabled/enabled the right codec, then restarted..also, I've tried uninstalling the bluetooth driver, restarting, still no success. I can see the volume level of the source audio moving in the audio mixer but it can't be heard through the laptop speakers or plug-in earbuds no matter what. Is there anything left to try? thanks

Set the default audio source to the speakers in the sound properties in the control panel.
