Will this ram overclock decently?

I'm kinda on a budget and cant afford the best ram but still want to overclock the amd64 3000+ im getting.

My first choice was

CORSAIR VALUE SELECT DUAL CHANNEL 1024MB KIT PC3200 DDR CAS2.5 2X512MB

but i'm guessing that it wont overclock much at all..... what about this ram?

CORSAIR TWINX1024-3200 PC3200 2X512MB DDR CAS2 SILVER HEAT SPREADER

that would be my limit in $ to spend on ram, I plan on overclocking around 3500+ speeds, but dont want to take a hit on performance of the ram. What do you guys suggest?

The Value Select has two strikes against it for an A64 system - it's high latency and because it's Value Select, it's not rated for high MHz. A64 likes low latency. The TwinX is definitely the way to go.

Rule of thumb - never cheap out on your memory stick. Always get the lowest latency / highest cycles you can afford. If you cheap out, you'll regret it later.

You can always use a memory divider and overclock all you want.

I bought the VS ram thinking it would be a nice cheap RAM to oc and well i just closed a deal for some mushkin "222" ram to OC and am now selling my corsair. yeah, go with the latter RAM.

I ended up getting new memory after I initially bought Kingston ValueRAM....and it sits in my closet right now waiting to be sold or used.
