I just started putting together my new system and realised my psu only has the 4 pin cpu power connection and not the 8 pin. The power supply I have is the PC POWER Turbo-Cool 510 SLI - 650w. peak.

I am running a GA-X38-DQ6 with a Q6600 ( hope to overclock to 3.2ghz.), 4gb. pc6400, 2 hdd's, and an hd4870.

Will this PSU be sufficient for this system using the 4 pin cpu connection instead of the 8 pin ?

It should. But if it doesn't boot, then get a 8Pin adaptor or a new PSU with the 8Pin.
