I built a new machine and I need a vid card. I'm looking at the MSI HAWK 5770. My res is 1680 x 1050 on a 22in monitor.

Will this max out all current games?

Max out? No. Near max though.

However, what PSU do you have? Not a good idea to get a video card if the PSU can't handle it.
 
ASUS 5850 looks good but it is double the $$$.

At my res is it worth it.

I would like to hear from people who have both. What games they play, what settings, and what res.
