Will my CPU Bottleneck my GPU?

Planning on upgrading my PC for skyrim but i don't want to upgrade much as it's enough power for me at the moment.
My PC Consists of:
Windows 7 Ultimate
Intel 6600 Quad Core CPU
Radeon 6750
8gb Ram

Thats all i can remember now while im at work. Would my CPU limit me if i upgrade to a 6870?

Is the Q6600 running at stock speeds? If you overclock to 3GHz+ you shouldn't have a problem.

I don't think it will be a significant bottleneck. You might want to overclock the Q6600 though to offset some of the minor bottleneck you do get..

The q6600 is getting a bit on the old side but it should perfectly fine with a 6870 even if you don't overclock. You should put cpu on your list to upgrade next though.. Q6600 is definitely showing its age on every benchmark I have seen

btw - what powersupply do you have? what's your budget? I was in a similar boat with a much weaker videocard/cpu (in my sig) but my powersupply was significantly limiting my options. Make sure you have a strong enough powersupply to run all that. I ended up having to upgrade my psu first before anything

Thanks for the reply's.
The CPU is not overclocked but i probably will once i get the GPU in.
As far as my Power Supply, i think it is sufficient as its a corsair TX650
I'm thinking of getting a 6950 and once i do end up upgrading my CPU i can get another 6950 and put them in SLI mode. Good idea?

I wish they had benched the i7 920/930/950/whatever on there. I'm guessing it's somewhere between SB and the Phenom 2 though.
