I didn't think it would be better or faster - I am considering building a new machine in the SFF area.. but I was kinda iffy on whether or not it'd be better.

I figure I should probably build an i7 box in the SFF, though I'm sure heat would be an issue

The 2500K would be faster than the Core i7 930 but it's not fast enough to justify the upgrade costs to a 2500K.

It may considering how hot those older i7 CPUs ran but should be fine I guess.

Well i'd build with a 2600K most likely if I did that.


I'm sitting on a 470gtx and a i7 930 at like 3.8ghz or so running on an H50. The only downfall is id lose some extra storage space probably.. id need to get larger drives.. currently have 2 1.5tb 1x1tb and a 320 gig drive
