Why no nVidia AIW?

Seriously, it seems like people buy the ATi versions by the truckload (just got my x800 4 days ago!!!), why can't nV slap a TV tuner on a vivo card and bundle an RF remote?

its called personal cinema.... I have one only 5200 and 5700 and g4force models only :(

I think its because they think they are so high end you dont need one attached to your Ultra Video Card.

I mean, personally, I would rather have a good Hauppage TV tuner or soemthing seperate from my video card anyway. But thats just me.

That's my point....where are the 6800 personal cinema? It can't be that hard to put a tuner on. Don't try to tell me 3d card + separate tuner > AIW, because it's not. Especially now that we live in the days of SFF's with 1 graphics slot and 1 pci slot.
That's the whole reason I bought my AIW in the first place. Once a next gen card compells me to upgrade, the AIW will go into my 200n, and the pci slot will still be free for a HDTV tuner or whatever (necessary because, ATM, MCE doesn't support HDTV only, needs a separate analog tuner).

In a normal case or SFF case, i'd rather have a video card (ATI or nvidia) plus a separate tuner. That's exactly what I did in my old SFF HTPC case and what I have now in my desktop.

You won't be getting HDTV + MCE anytime soon.....

Because there's a lot more to it than that and the time and money it would take to compete with the AIW (which are very well established) just isn't worth it for the small number of cards they would sell...

Opps, you stumbled onto a rumour ;)

The reason is that nVIDIA has gone back to the table after the NVTV product line. We are close enough to HDTV land for the average user that there's something cooking here.

Say no more say no more

Look for eventual competition to the HDTV Wonder, opps.

Bet you'll see the Inquirer say something soon as well. :p
