Why does windows reset the speaker settings after every restart?

I remember that being an issue with the X-Mystique from a while back when they first came out.. I thought they would have fixed it by now. Stupid question.. have you got the latest drivers for it? Is it the issue where it switches to 2-channel? You don't happen to have onboard audio enabled at the same time do you?
 
yes its the same issue (going back to 2 channel). i have lastest drivers and onboard diasabled :(
