Why does this picture flicker on my LCD?

I look at this image on my Westinghouse 22" LCD and the orangey center part of the graph flickers. Does anyone else get this effect? Why is this?

No flicker at all to my eyes. Are you sure it isn't just the "sparkly" effect of the anti-glare screen coating? I have an Acer F-20 with a glossy panel..

Maybe some auto contrast gone nuts? Do you have different modes (desktop/multimedia?) may input issues, switch from dvi/vga or vice versa...

I was playing around with it a little, and realized doesn't happen when the image is positioned on the right half of the screen but does happen when it's on the left, and is particularly bad in the upper left. Any other 22" Westinghouse people that notice this?

You didn't say whether you're on VGA or DVI.

I have a 19" Gateway that needed "phase" adjustment (found in the bundled EZTune calibration software). There is still a small amount of noise on the screen using the VGA after the adjustments, but it was more severe before.

Using DVI. I don't have the opportunity to switch since X1900 only has DVI outputs.

Nothing wrong with that pic here.....22" westy and DVI comming out of an ATI card.

fine on my hyundai L90D+. that pic does have some crazy-fine-grained textures on it, though, so it may cause some interesting results on some monitors. Moire effect FTW.

Naw, resolution is 1680x1050 32-bit. It's weirdin me out. :(

The flickering goes away as I move my head to the left and right or up, but stays when I move down. And as I stated earlier, only in the upper left hand corner, so as I move the window to the right, I can get it to where only half the image is flickering.

Anyone have the slightest clue? It only happens on this image it seems. I haven't been able to reproduce it on anything else.

Tried it with Internet explorer? Firefox?

Looking at saved image?

It's just moire patterns caused by the interactivity between the pixels/subpixels on your monitor and the dithering pattern used in the image. Some people notice these patterns really easily, and some people don't.
