Seems pointless to me, although Ive heard (but not positive) that Saphire really makes the BBATI cards and just boxes them differently. Seems like they could lose money by doing that... ala 3dfx.

I'm pretty sure that the only one that makes BBATi is Saphire. PowerColor in my opinion is a crappy brand. Back in the 9700-pro days they were making semi-pro cards and using confusing names on them so people thought they were buying a pro when in fact the memory was a grade to low and wasn't even able to overclock to stock pro speeds.Originally posted by diredesire
Some people think that buying from the manufacturer (original 'maker') means that it's guaranteed to have been done right. Also, the warranty is good, you can count on a borked card being replaced... and the retail box is cool. And yes, sapphire OEMs many, if not all ATi brand cards (i like the 'i' too). I've actually heard that power color OEMed for them too, but i'm not sure about that one...
